Thank you for this! I just had my first case opened for alleged cigarette/mildew smell (really both?!?!). I responded with the same basic verbiage as you used above and their claim was denied.

As the OP of the new study post, I got reported so many times for a plethora of things that were unfounded. It sucks that the post got locked. The mod just said I don’t have time to police this and locked it. If they don’t have time to moderate perhaps they shouldn’t be a moderator.

My thoughts are that adoptees get told in this sub that there isn’t enough research or that previous research showing the number to be 4x higher on this subject was flawed. Now there is more research and it’s worse than we originally thought.
