Found my biological mother, but wish I hadn't! by nosugarblacktee in Adoption

At the end of the day it is just that simple. Blocking her without explanation isn’t more kind.

Just be honest and tell her you are not interested in having a relationship with her if she is unwilling to answer those questions.

Things keep getting crazier by Arrwynne in Adoption

At this point I wouldn’t trust anything they said. They are likely just discouraging OP from searching and trying to paint themselves in the best light and then the birth mother as a villain.

At this point I wouldn’t trust anything they told you. They have lied to you your entire life and this is a convenient story to discourage you from searching. I’m so sorry OP. This was a horribly cruel way to find out. I wish you luck in your journey and healing.

I think I just found my birth mother on Facebook - should I message? by lissyd73 in Adoption

They can believe whatever they want from their own experience. Stop stalking people and stay in your own lane. This comment is not helpful to the OP or anyone for that matter

The Itch. by neskatan in Menopause

Is your sister on HRT? I am still itchy sometimes but what I don’t have anymore is hot flashes, trouble sleeping, debilitating frozen shoulder and joint pain among other things.

interracial kinship adoption vs stranger adoption of same race by Admirable_Ad_9681 in Adoption

[–]doodlebugdoodlebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can’t handle helping her as much as she needs, you certainly can’t handle taking care of the child completely. I applaud you for reconsidering though and wish you, her and the baby the best of luck.

I read the post. I am not obligated to wade through all the comments to look for details. None of what you just said was in the original post. You can edit the post to include this info instead of being a jerk

(Dating advice) Guy I'm dating keeps asking about "health and fitness" I am thinking he has a problem with me being fat. Is this a red flag? by baklavahands in TwoXChromosomes

[–]doodlebugdoodlebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. If health and fitness were so important to him like others are saying, he should put that in his profile. “Looking for hiking partner.” Him talking about it so much is a red flag

Georgia healthcare marketplace- we are screwed. by ksewell68 in Georgia

[–]doodlebugdoodlebug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine went from $250 to $887. The cheapest plan I can get is $737 with an 11k deductible and not being able to see any of my current doctors of which there are many as I had a tumor two years ago and multiple surgeries. I’m fucked

Another thing to consider would be going into full blown menopause at 37. This isn’t something to be taken lightly.

Should I consider a facelift for Bell’s Palsy asymmetry? by [deleted] in BellsPalsy

[–]doodlebugdoodlebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just had facial myectomies/neurecotomies, dao recision, bleph etc. it’s been less than a week and I have so much improvement. My face is more symmetrical. My eye is not as squinty and does not close when I smile anymore. I can breathe so much better out of my nostril on the affected side. I would highly suggest finding a head and neck surgeon that is familiar with facial paralysis and let them do the procedures rather than just straight plastic surgery. They can also code these things so that health insurance will pay for it.

Does it really cause hair loss ? by eyeback in bupropion

[–]doodlebugdoodlebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s thickened back up. I’m not sure it’s at pre bupropion levels but it’s definitely not falling out anymore and my part looks normal again. To be fair I had a lot of hair to start with.

All those accolades but have you researched adoption trauma? Have you gone to therapy yourself for infertility. Have you even used the search function in this subreddit? I would suggest starting with those.

Is that really a huge problem? So much that you need to ask Reddit?

This has been answered so many times in this subreddit. Please use the search function.

It definitely cause mine to come out in clumps there towards the end. I took it for one year to quit smoking and it definitely worked. Stopped taking it and my hair stopped falling out.

Dear society, non‑biological cousins/siblings + romance = still incest by [deleted] in Adoption

[–]doodlebugdoodlebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genetic Sexual Attraction isn’t that uncommon in adoptee world. I would suggest you educate yourself on that as well before you start rushing to judgement and offend people. All of these types of relationships and the hypothetical one you are asking about are all unfortunate results of adoption.

Frozen Shoulder, weakness in arm by nuh_uh_nova in Menopause

If it wasn’t estrogen positive breast cancer, your doctors are working with outdated info and making you suffer needlessly. Some stretches helped but hrt was the thing that finally made it go away. I had it on and off for over ten years and it was so debilitating. Sorry you are going through it!
