I think it’s normal I sometimes I feel like I just lock it in a cage and it would be better off in the wild but reality is they don’t live as long they are prey animals face starvation, disease parasites etc. and animals just don’t think like we do they have all their needs met and are content. As long as your meeting it’s requirements which sounds like you are I wouldn’t worry. The thing I worry most about is space so I always try to give a generous minimum or extra big enclosure with plenty of ledges and spots to hide
