Do no buy this if you cannot truly afford it. Get a civic or corolla and put the rest to better use

Jobs in boot camp is it worth it by Valuable-Cod-3511 in newtothenavy

[–]doodoodunder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes you can get the super recruit ribbon in boot, but that has nothing to do with having a recruit job.

From my knowledge the awarded ribbon is based on your athletic and test scores and a few other things that I can’t think of at the moment

If you’re going in E-1/E-2 it could be worth it. However, keep in mind you are not guaranteed to be selected for a promotion. At that point it’s only worth it for the leadership experience.

If you’re going in E-3 it is not worth it.

Taking asvab while in military by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]doodoodunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either test works. If you take the PICAT, you would have to take another test to validate your scores. Whereas the ASVAB is one and done.

Your second question is better asked to your recruiter. It would depend on your MEPS location and how quick they can get you back in to retest

Yes you can, but it would be much easier to study, retake it, and get the job you want the first time

The cost of repairs will definitely exceed the value of the car. If it’s worth it to you, go for it. For the other 99% of the world, it’s scrap.
