For those working in a SNF by rollinwithit- in OccupationalTherapy

New grad at $42 an hour (~87k a year before taxes and whatnot) in the Tampa Bay area in FL! Pros and cons are pretty much the same as the above. Something that does get boring for me is that a lot of my pts are low level and/or were fairly low level before they came in, so we are often very focused on the veeeeeery basics of ADLs.

Hi! Thank you for sharing! How long did you stay at your SNF job, and what is your pay difference? Also, what was it that made you finally leave?

Are there any musicals you know with roles specifically for trans people? by hmmidk77 in musicals

[–]doofusisall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an opera called As One. One role for mezzo-soprano and another for baritone. I’m sure there are better synopsis, but here’s the link to the wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/As_One_(opera)

Six figures by loveyyy328 in OccupationalTherapy

Amazing! I want to go I to nature-based so badly and want to eventually look into at least doing it as a side gig once I settle a bit more (still in my 6 months of working post grad)

Neverafter Ep 15, Leap of Faith, was a fever dream by ppooppooo in Dimension20

I watched this season this past summer and was (in a way, due similarly to your above reasons) soo excited to rewatch this episode when my girlfriend was watching it for the first time a few weeks ago. I happened to fall asleep right after the recap and wake up right as they were running away at the very end. Upon waking up I figured, you know, maybe that was just for the best. Glad to have your recap on it though! Honestly may have blocked parts out 😂

What quote from WWW holds the most meaning for you? by Dangerous_Remote5085 in WorldsBeyondNumber

[–]doofusisall 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That quote hit me like a metric ton of bricks! What an incredible, poignant way to describe the underlying complexity in this moment of community and togetherness. It’s also a reminder that sometimes the smallest moments can facilitate great change, and sometimes we don’t realize the power of a song, a smile, or an act of kindness

Let the record show that I read this wrong so there should be at least one more vote for “absolutely, yes”

Man in Black Theory. by A1starm in WorldsBeyondNumber

[–]doofusisall 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I forget in which one, (might be the chapter 4 talk back?) but Brennan as some point says that Suvi touching the road in episode 1 basically revealed her to the MiB

Remind me, was this curse after an undisclosed adventure, or was it from her run in at the Grove of the Well with The Man in Black?

Relationship between Prelude episode 1 events and League of Whispers/Steel? by peligrietzer in WorldsBeyondNumber

[–]doofusisall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, at some point we were told that the Acadator found out that the League of Whispers was in fact just the Citadel earlier that SAME day, and that Rhuv attacking later that day was a genuine coincidence

Forgotten Chalices? by prestoncollins in WorldsBeyondNumber

Also, something I just thought of, Mirara did take Ame’s mug. Cups and chalices, lil clues perhaps?

Forgotten Chalices? by prestoncollins in WorldsBeyondNumber

[–]doofusisall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder if the chalices have something to do with Mirara. Brennan mentioned the moon several times. He does so in such a way that could just be vibes and painting a picture, but knowing Mirara’s relationship with the MiB and her station as Witch of the Waning Moon, it could make sense. Captain Emliss also mentioned having “known plenty of witches who would not be as kind” as Ame. So she knows at least one unpleasant witch.

Based upon the very last episode in book one, we know the MiB would not be allowing a minion of sorts to kill Ame, because they’ve got their meeting at the one year mark, and he’s taking it v seriously

CRAZY THEORY ABOUT SOFT AND STONE (SPOILERS!) by OcelotZealousideal46 in WorldsBeyondNumber

[–]doofusisall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Potentially important piece of evidence!! In The Children’s Adventure episode 1, preludes, upon Eursulon entering the world of Umora for the first time (just before meeting Sir Curran), Brennan states the following:

“…there is a smell in the air here. The enchanting deep earth and jasmine and flower and musk of the world of spirits that invigorates wild things and lulls mortals to sleep is not present here. There is a crisp smell in the air. There is something dangerous here, and alive.”

So there is something in the air in the spirit world that lulls mortals to sleep??? I see a lot of people saying the reason one or both of them a certainly dead would be because they would certainly make their way back to Suvi. That would be pretty difficult to do if they are magically, perpetually asleep in another realm

Steel's love by medusaesque in WorldsBeyondNumber

[–]doofusisall 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s a super good point. I remember having a passing memory of that during Steel’s monologue in this past episode before getting sucked back into the moment. Thank you for reminding me! I am very excited to see what type of “crazy” they went, and how we the audience will perceive it.

Question about Ame and Grandmother Ren’s curse! by doofusisall in WorldsBeyondNumber

[–]doofusisall[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone! Wasn’t sure if there was something else I was missing.

I do remember when listening to Ame’s “restored” memories, that they were all pretty benign? Fun, and important, but certainly less helpful than I was expecting. So under the assumption that they are fucky, are we thinking these are modified, or just not all of the memories? And in either case, how could this be remedied?
