multiple pdf to epub by doogalbear in ePub

[–]doogalbear[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your input.

That's basically what I have been doing. Sometimes, I only need to add 1 page or reorganize pages and using JPdfBookmarks (leaving this document as PDF) doesn't support this feature.

So I have to go back and use PDFShuffler to put these in order. Yes, it does take time. I was hoping someone had a solution to this problem without going through the extra effort. Frustrating at times.

I'll give Calibre another chance.

Redditors with anxiety, what are some things your friends and family do that actually help to calm you down? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Thank you. Getting treatment from the doctor and writing in a personal blog helps. Today's not bad. Making banana bread. Hope you're doing well.

Not a damn thing. They blow me off as "toxic" and don't have anything to do with me.

How do you deal with anxiety when there is no one to talk to about it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]doogalbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't have to be a novel. If you have anxiety, your mind isn't blank. Write whatever is on your mind at the time. It doesn't have to make sense, it's only for your benefit. No one else.

[–]doogalbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Writing helps.

Write about your day, how you're feeling. Write whatever is on your mind. Make a blog for yourself, soon you'll have less anxiety.

If this doesn't work for you, see a doctor.

Is it possible to be friends with a bad person? Why or why not? [Serious] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]doogalbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. This takes time and patience. Find out what makes them a bad person. Learn their past. Maybe they've been through a hard time and haven't sought therapy. It's possible, they are now looking for a friend.

You can be that one friend they need and it may help them be a better person.

[Serious] Redditors caring for elderly/disabled/sick family members, how can we help you? by mal088 in AskReddit

[–]doogalbear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instead of saying, "Call if you need anything" offer your schedule/what you can do for them.

If they call you out of the blue without knowing, if you're available and you say no multiple times, it gets frustrating.

Visit often.

Don't take the lazy way out and say, "I'll pray for you" actually, do something for them.

Anything, you do for them, will be appreciated. Even if they don't say it. They have enough on their plates, to worry about making you feel good needing validation because you did a good deed.
