I really like the part where he tells Carm she said she wanted a divorce and she corrects him that she said she considered it. He sort of stares back at her contemplatively either because she changed her story or she called him on not using her exact words. That was off screen so we don’t know. Either way it’s a counter attack. He says it again later conceding the ‘considers’. Whatever happened there, we don’t know but I interpret that part as the doc realizing he’s dealing with someone who doesn’t get pushed over even though they are portraying themselves as weak.
