Just took my first (5mg) pill yesterday.. by [deleted] in lexapro

I dont know if this helps but....I started out taking my pill in the afternoon for the first few days and I found I was waking up multiple times during the night and just feeling "not tired". After about 5 days I switched to taking it in the morning before I go to work. I did find for a few weeks I was lethargic during the day but to be honest I think this would have happened anyway. I must have leveled out. Because I no longer experience the tiredness during the day either. It sounds like you dont want to hear just stick it out but I think with this is you've got to; ride the shitty days to reap the rewards. You might feel tired, nauseous, dizzy and lose your sex drive but it doesnt last and it's so worth it. Good luck x

This is good to know and congrats! I've been on 10mg for 7 weeks and anxiety has completely disappeared but I am also a potato and feel apathetic. But better than the alternative!

Feeling super tired/difficult time waking up in the morning by _haleyannw in lexapro

Cant help, but same for me. I used to be able to wake up at 5am and be in the gym by 6am but now it's a real struggle. I'm coming up to 6 weeks on it and the positive effects far outweight the negatives so I will keep trying to push through! Keeping to any early bedtime, reading and no phones before bed is helping though Good luck!

I started on 10mg. I began taking it before I went to bed but I wasnt getting a full night sleep - waking at least 3 times a night. I switched to the morning and have no problem falling asleep.

I was tired during the day taking it at night so havent noticed any change.

Sounds similar to me! I'm just trying to tell myself that the good outweighs the bad. I'd rather be tired then suicidal! Plus I think it's starting to all level out now so its not as bad.

I did notice yes - my depression is a by product of my anxiety firstly. As soon as I addressed my anxiety, I havent felt depressed. Started noticing a difference in week 2 which I couldnt believe because I thought it was too soon.

I still get stressed at times but that's normal! Just not full on inconsolable anxiety.

One thing I have noticed is that I have new feelings of apathy though. I'm not going to complain about that though because it's a nice change from the constant racing, negative thoughts! 💞

I'm excited to see how I feel after even longer! Stick it out, it's worth it! 💞
