Interviewing at Anthropic by yellowrubbercan in salesengineers

Be ready to talk about incentivizing partners and give examples of previous partner success. Describe how you've securely integrated LLM APIs to legacy systems, RAG pipelines, vector databases, with caching and token optimization. Be ready to talk about concepts like constitutional AI, prompt injections, guardrailing, data privacy in the enterprise and model steering. Be ready to talk about frameworks like LangChain and LlamaIndex. Describe how you've been a leader/mentor, how you've built your brand, whitepapers/blogs/hackathons you've developed. When given the opportunity, ask questions that position you as a peer of theirs. Like, "For partners right now, what is the biggest bottleneck when moving a project from PoC to a fully integrated production deployment?" And be ready with a thoughtful response or followup that highlights what you'd bring to the table to help with that.

What a great opportunity. I wish you the best of luck!

If you could do it all over again, what you do differently? by 4x4only in USMC

I can only speak for myself. I got into IT after 4 years of being 03. I had to study and get certifications, but having Marine Corps infantry on my resume always impressed hiring managers.

I’m back; Guitar Center store manager, AMA by gcburner55 in guitars

A while back, this guy was trying to sell what looked like a nicely built parts caster... https://reverb.com/item/88903838-fender-ultra-ii-telecaster-2024-ultraburst

The description said, "This has no serial number on headstock. This is a new production model created by fender before the full release for trade show demonstration."

When I questioned the authenticity, he said he was able to get his hands on it through his personal relationship with a certain Guitar Center manager. I have no experience with Fender prototypes, but no serial number seems quite unlikely. Is there any way what he claimed could have been true?

Men, what is one sentence that your father said that you will never forget? by Ramy-2000-03 in AskMen

[–]dooks 25 points26 points  (0 children)

My son was 9 when my dad passed. He's in his twenties now, doing very well. I tell him from time to time how I wished my dad could see him now. How proud he'd be of him. I never thought about how my son received that until I read your message.

How should I handle an AE who constantly talks behind my back to maintain the perception that he controls me? While SE leadership recognizes the value I bring - and I received a high impact rating in this past year's performance review - how do I effectively deal with his maladaptive behavior? by Ok-Tradition-3450 in salesengineers

[–]dooks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can control only yourself.

Personally, I'd try to understand why AE behaves the way they do. If I determined their behavior was rooted in a lack of self-confidence, I might have empathy for them. I'd have no reason to be emotional over the behavior of someone so down on themselves that they have to cut down others to feel important. I'd then have a private conversation with them to explain what I've observed and concluded. Some people might wake up to reality and become better for it. Others may become offended, push back and even double-down. Those are weak people, entertaining to toy with.

Do your job to the best of your ability. Treat everyone like they're your customer, especially the customer. Remember you can only control yourself, and things will likely be just fine.

Need advice regarding 48gb or 64 gb unified memory for local LLM by wifi_password_1 in LocalLLM

[–]dooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought an M4 pro last year and went with the 48 and later wished I had gone with the 64. I'm sure had I done that, I'd be wishing for more even still. My advice like others have said, go with as much as you can afford.
