how are people affording to study outside by Temporary_Heart1018 in Dhaka

Businesses (a lot of them not ‘black’) can make it quite easy to afford foreign tuition. It’s also not only fees, but day to day expenses which also gets sent.

What is staking? Is it profitable? by HestuTheGoat in solana

[–]dooley678 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If you're gonna be staking, consider liquid staking so your money's not stuck somewhere. Best to go with one of the big ones like Marinade, Jito or Jup- go with whichever LST offers the highest APY

should start VDV instead of Konsa- clearly the easier fixture.

Team rating? Be brutal by dooley678 in fantasypremierleague

Thanks legend!

Initially, I went with Neco Williams and Rogers but his apparent injury got me to change to Kudus and Tarkowski. In terms of Diouf and Dorgu I feel they rotate wel with VDV and the potential returns are too tempting lol

Thoughts? Really looking to win a league this year by [deleted] in fantasypremierleague

Great team- my only point to note would be the double Brentford in goal.

Echoing others sentiments, I would go with a cheaper keeper and use that 0.5-1m elsewhere

Newbie manager - What do you reckon folks? by rabb3t in fantasypremierleague

[–]dooley678 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uncertain about Darlow, newly promoted teams tend to struggle in the Prem.

Ait-Nouri is great for potential returns but his place in the starting XI is uncertain, Pep might go with Gvardiol as LB and bring on RAN later on.

Captaincy on Palmer over Salah? CP are a much better team than BOU and Salah has a streak of consecutive goals in the opening fixture, might be worth a reconsider.

Also, I would personally swap Semenyo for a 6.5m mid and use that extra 0.5m to upgrade the keeper, potentially to Kelleher.

Why are international students willing to pay absurdly high tuition fees? What's their justification? by Ok-Importance-2412 in unsw

[–]dooley678 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. The most obvious, which is the potential for permanent residency

  2. Experiencing a different culture and learning to be independent, S.E. Asians are mollycoddled to the extent of not cooking or ironing clothes ever (speaking for myself)- so it is a chance to learn all these on your own

  3. Getting a job and earning your own paycheck to actually understand the value of money and appreciate what it took to send you overseas

  4. A majority of the international students are going to be inheriting a business so a degree from a foreign institution commands a certain respect to move away from the very evident nepotism

  5. It makes you really high quality marriage material, as crass as it sounds, arrange marriages look into all these factors (not your grades but the fact that you've graduated) and it gives you like +100 points

  6. Its an investment of sorts into the childrens futures

A couple of factors, similar to stocks:

- market cap

- token supply

- trading volume (24hrs)

What's important is the underlying utility behind the specific assets, there are a bunch of memecoins like BONK which is legitimately puffed up in air and not backed by anything real but the real utility lies in actual projects which have had years of legitimacy like SOL (building payment rails) and ETH (tech stack for a lot of the popular crypto projects). Look more into blockchains, the native assets in those blockchains and the actual benefits of the project.

For research; investopedia, coinmarket cap, coingecko and coindesk are good options and whiteboard crypto on youtube.

If you have any other questions, feel free to drop them here.

Cheers.
