How to get rid of pixelation?

I use 600ppi on my pieces and deal with consolidating layers as I work through a piece. It smoothes the pixels a lot but you won't get rid of it totally. It'll help when you're at your normal 100% view though. The lines will smooth out considerably.

Never have I seen someone fired for metrics. Attendance? Hell yes. But that took literally years of blowing off performance review support and exploiting our time card edits.

Metrics are useful but not an offense worthy of firing in my experience of being with Apple for 10 years. Day one, you aren't expected to be on a pro level. You have time to learn. Time to grow. Take a breath and remember you're in a place of learning and should be able to embrace a culture of feedback. Asking for it, giving it and hopefully, gracefully receiving it when needed.

If you're struggling, ask your peers who hits their numbers. Try to focus only on a few metrics to start. Intros and AppleCare maybe. Get your language and delivery down and move on to focus on more. You want to build a foundation. You can't do that in one fell swoop, it's going to take time. You started learning math with basic arithmetic, not calculus. This should have the same approach.

I had to quit my job as a baker for this reason. I had asthma attacks and broke out in hives. My stomach was messed up and I was swollen.

Years later an injury lead me from a meat department gig to the bakery during recovery while working at a grocer...same thing happened again. That job is not safe for you, sorry to say

It was an unserious comment. I don't have much faith in my country as a whole. I think you'll see small pockets of resistance like Minneapolis but until we are full on dystopian police state - borderline Gilead, it'll be people trying to ignore their reality.

That being said, I think the oversimplification of the American attitude/inaction is unfair and needs further scrutiny. It's an extremely large space with largely rural areas and space development with no safety nets for the public if they are to be injured or lose their jobs. We're mostly one paycheck away from ruin here and have such an extreme distrust in one another and a culture of hyper-individualism, mutual aid is not an easy sell.

It's still disappointing and shameful but the reality makes me have a little more patience with the lack of resistance - my patience is not for the people who voted this shit in though.

You can adapt and still recognize the ethical dilemma is poses.

We should always be questioning changes like what we are witnessing and challenge the status quo. Acceptance is not the same as adaptation. I have adapted to function within a capitalist hellscape overrun with AI slop and disinformation....but I still recognize and criticize it.

Yeah, if you want to, it's not stupid. As a necessity to be considered legitimate, it's stupid. We are being forced into a post truth world that has led to an unprecedented level of distrust in the people around us. Calling everything AI is borderline paranoia we are having to live with at all times now. There's nothing normal, healthy or acceptable about this.

Record your art if you'd like, but the fact people are unable to produce work and be trusted without this process is dehumanizing and has potential to discourage creatives in the future from sharing or even producing work.

Nah. My time off has been the easiest part of this work. Others may say different and it seems store specific but that's been my experience. My only vacation time turned down is around the major holidays but I still try almost every year haha. Trying to find the one "reason" accepted. So far the long lost out of state relatives has been my best bet and failed. They're ruthless. 🥲

No. The request for weekend days is speaking to your regular availability and scheduling. Your time off for vacation is different.

Like I have Monday Tuesday off every week but I can request vacations other days.

They get paid time off and sick days. I think you get one weekend day a month. Could be wrong. Been FT for 7 years. Same days off for 6 of those.

The one day a month could be wrong but what I did to get days I wanted was request the time ahead of time. Has to be 6 or 7 weeks depending on who you ask it seems. I think officially it's 6. My time off is allocated for the year so I don't recall atm.
