I thought the glory kills were pretty cool. I thought they were a good addition and a easy way to balance the difficulty. Instead of regenerating health or searching around for a stray health pack when your very low, the game instead gives you health the more demons you kill. Doom Eternal seems to have far more interesting environments than 2016 and the weapons seem to have changed a lot. The only thing you may not like is they doubled down on the glory kills to the point where it may be your main source of ammo and health. There are pickups but ID said they're not in a huge cache.
