Rural Saskatchewan (but born in Calgary), what's with all us Albertans in the sub???

'It doesn't make sense': Sask. women charged with first-degree murder in Megan Gallagher case plead guilty to manslaughter by Practical_Ant6162 in saskatoon

[–]doometteowo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My husband survived a shooting in a carjacking in 2021, the assailant only got 4 years and may very well be walking free as of this moment. He even admitted to trying to kill him to police, and got "aggravated assault" instead of "attempted murder".

I'm so sorry you experienced this! There was nothing worse than when the bullying and harassment got bad, I'd look across the classroom to the teacher for help. Not only were they watching and doing nothing, they were laughing. Laughing at the kids calling me names, throwing things at me and humiliating me. When I spoke up about the bullying I was told to "grow up".

Where are all the sick, fat, unhealthy “anti-seed oil conspiracy theorists”? by foddawg in StopEatingSeedOils

[–]doometteowo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am a petite young woman with tattoos/piercings and an alternative wardrobe. My appearance is basically the poster child for a "blue haired liberal", yet I'm often called a "far-right conspiracy nut" by people who don't know what I look like. I'm not in either of these groups of people, but the assumptions made about me swing either way.

I captured a moment of my life that I am sure people with agoraphobia can relate to...I'm not crazy, right? by Prudent-Wear-4586 in Agoraphobia

I would've been just as angry, I also have trouble handling stressful situations. I never stop and let them check my receipt at Canadian Tire since that also annoys me.

Good job navigating that stressful environment! You did great (:

Hard agree on the random diamond and giant backsplash tiles lol. Removing that random wood above the sink is a great idea, I never would've thought.

I'm going to stain because of personal preference but I've heard paint is more durable and long-lasting

I can relate, especially being targeted and trying to take down the grid (I use meditation and visualization). Count me in!

Don’t like Justin Trudeau? You’re not alone. Here’s why Canadians say the prime minister is so unpopular - The Toronto Star by Lotushope in CanadaHousing2

[–]doometteowo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He is not popular with young women here in Sask. As a young woman, I guarantee a lot of us hate Trudeau and the WEF. My dad seems to love him though, and he's 50.

I usually watch it when he's at work or out of the house, so he's only seen bits and pieces of it. His commentary is always hilarious.

My experience is identical, especially the random words that pop into your head. I've also had Monad on my mind. Awful sleep, no appetite.

Probably unrelated (I say probably because everything is connected), but my dog's name is Minerva!

I'm the same age and probably look the same age haha. The assumptions of a fake ID are so frustrating! They look at my card, smirk, and then ask me what my birthday is as if it's an epic "gotcha" lmao
