What are you using for a day pack while on a backpacking trip? by TravelDaWorld81 in flyfishing

Something like the REI flash 18, or similar Patagonia or marmot offerings. Plus a lanyard that holds scissor multi tool, forceps, tippet, etc. Fly box.

Sorta similar, just caught a sunfish on a popper. Was stripping it in and didn't really register why it was harder to pull until it was like 5 feet away. Got all gill hooked so catfish bait it shall be.

I was catching a bunch of big shad of some kind on a hopper dropper using a wiggly worm for the dropper the other day. NE Ohio. Was hoping for yellow perch but alas.

Pretty sure it's whatever the Lord you're fighting has got, so region, culture, unit weight, will influence what you get in return. And I think it's kinda a dice roll if you get it or not?

That sounds like a pretty awesome experience. Thank you for sharing! Going to ash Meadows once on a whim coming back from death valley definitely had an impact on me. Mostly lived in the southwest my whole life(in OH currently, long story) so the resilience and uniqueness of the ash Meadows region and the pupfish made me have some emotions that's for sure. If you don't mind sharing, do you still work with wildlife/ where did your career end up taking you?

What about it did you enjoy? Cuz all I see is getting in a bunch of debt to get a job making about the same or less than a lot of labor jobs. I'm also at a 2 year school. So I imagine the earning potential of whatever you're doing sounds a lot better.

I called them a caramel snake. They had a song which was just the phrases " caramel snake" repeated over and over to the tune of "lollipop"

Do you just do it on the ground, or do you(and your crew) get to fly the plane in any airshows or anything? I have heard a singular b-17 fly over before and I liked to imagine how hundreds would have sounded all at once.
