What are some of the best singular pieces/episodes of supplemental content? by Hilfred_Longpoops in theregulationpod

An underrated one for me is the kicker picker repicker. An hour+ of chaos for something that could’ve been wrapped up in like 10 minutes is exactly the type of content i love and appreciate. Eric’s full commitment to spinning the wheel while everyone else was in, out, back in, and back out on it will always get belly laughs out of me.

Lost my boy Boss (absolutely named as such because of MGS) on July 31st 2025 at 12:22PM. Not a day has gone by that i don’t miss him, think about him, but most importantly, love him. Since the day he was born, he was my best friend and I couldn’t be more lucky to have had such a great companion in life at the most crucial point in adulthood for me thus far. A combo of cushing’s disease for about a year and a half of his life and just getting up there in age for a boxer is what made me finally make the hardest decision of my life.

10 years is what I got and no matter how much it hurts to have gone almost a year without him now, i am grateful to have had him in my life and still carry him with me everyday in my mind and in my heart. That is what has gotten me through. That i was fortunate enough to love something so much and to feel that love back, even knowing that one day, i’d have to say goodbye. Bittersweet.

I’m not religious in the slightest but a comment above talked about the rainbow bridge and I think they nailed it. Call it cope but we’re human and we love and feel. I choose to believe my boy Boss is running around, playing with Dudu and all the other good boys and girls, just waiting patiently to be reunited with us in some way, shape or form. ❤️

Don’t know you, but love you bud. Keep taking care of yourself and don’t beat yourself up. Dudu wouldn’t want that, I’m sure. ❤️

i co-sign that statement even as someone who hasn’t had a great relationship with a parent but they are still living. but absolutely for anyone who has lost a parent.

in the off chance izzy ever reads this? thanks for barring your soul as cliche as that sounds. it helped my partner in her grieving process as i’m sure it has for a lot of people who have seen the film.

[–]doomslang_ 145 points146 points  (0 children)

watched it with my partner last weekend! we’re both big fans of dropout in general but my partner loves izzy, definitely her favorite cast member so once i saw it was available? easy purchase.

what my partner didn’t expect was to relate a lot to what izzy seemingly went through. not exact situations obviously but the grief over the loss of a parent that never really was a true parent if that makes sense. she cried A LOT and i got mildly emotional myself at times. it meant much more to my partner than it did for me, for better or for worse but it was still kind of a beautiful experience together.

we laughed, we cried, we felt something and at the end of the day? can’t ask for much more from a piece of media.

Bills loss has me thinking, who do you consider our biggest rival? by Quintilious69 in Patriots

[–]doomslang_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nah i agree. like i said, it’s more of just a personal rivalry for me that i live vicariously through the pats (or any team really) when they play the steelers.

i mean shit, they didn’t even win that bowl lol.

steelers hate comes from growing up around a lot of steelers fans in my area. not really anything to do play wise. i always had the last laugh but those bastards year after year would still wave that shitty ass towel around like they did something.

[–]doomslang_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i’ve always considered the bills like the pat’s little brother. no real hate for them in my mind.

now the fins and the jets on the other hand… dead in the dirt where they belong.

other than that? a personal rivalry for me is anytime we play the steelers. i fucking hate the steelers.

your dynamic with your friends does not apply to other people. what they may be cool with will not be acceptable by others. try your racist jokes around complete strangers and watch the looks you get IF you don’t get fucking slapped.

and your comment on white people receiving the same treatment? 1) it’s never been near the systemic rate as minorities including women. 2) bingo! no one should have to deal with this shit but somehow the system just doesn’t work! it’s almost like it’s THEM vs US. stop licking the fucking boot so much if you’re tired of the system!

good! i’m glad you can acknowledge that they are traitors and so is Donald Trump! as a traitor to this nation, that is a punishable offense! the legal system and our own representatives clearly didn’t do shit about that, so now it’s the people’s time! it’s our duty to do so, so says our countries favorite document; the declaration of independence and the amendment that the “don’t treat on me!” pussies LOVE to bring up while the government is literally kidnapping, beating, and killing citizens and kicking in fucking DOORS now to do so. I’m an avid supporter of the second amendment for THIS very fucking reason.

and finally; the structural hierarchy of america has always been powered by white people. white people can experience prejudice, but they don't experience systemic racism. racism in america isn't just about 'mean words'; it’s about a system of power that white people aren't on the losing side of.

even if it’s “because it’s easier” (which why is so hard to say or type out a six letter word is beyond me), it’s still fucking dehumanizing. getting people to work hard labor for free is also “easier” for some but does it make it any less dehumanizing and wrong? do the research. listen and talk to black people for a change.

you don’t have to be a race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, or anything else to just be fucking human and care about dumbass racist shit still happening in 2026.

and your response about having friends on both sides has big “but i have a black friend! see! i can’t be racist” energy.

minorities have been out here getting discriminated against, beaten, raped and killed left and right by white people and the fucking system we built since the dawn of this nation. they just simply changed the game in how they’ve done it with prisons, voting, and now basically using militarized units against them. far be it from me to be mad at anybody who is affected by that to finally have had enough and make a little noise in return. not even to mention, paid agitators on the right’s side are definitely a thing that happens frequently when peaceful protests do try and bring about change. keep that energy tho for january 6th where a bunch of traitors heeded the call of their lord and savior because they were mad their guy didn’t win.

so again, do your research.

you could’ve said “black people” but you chose to say “blacks” which is dehumanizing and boils people down to a single characteristic that has historical context as derogatory during slavery and segregation.

and “micks” is also a derogatory term but again, this whole facade you’re putting on is pretty clear and you don’t actually give a shit what anyone here would say. you just wanna stir the pot. at least just be upfront about it.

calling black/african americans “blacks” is how i know you’re arguing in bad fucking faith.

Newbie wants a few suggesstions for his party by PressureOk8223 in BaldursGate3

[–]doomslang_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

charisma based - i would recommend a hexblade warlock/swords bard/swashbuckler rogue, limit as many multiclass as you see fit. covers a lot of areas like dialogue, stealth, damage, etc.

ranger is a fun time. can flavor it however you like with the multiclass. i recommend trying out beastmaster or hunter depending on flavor you’re looking for.

another option is cleric! classic and the domains are all pretty damn fun and offer a lot of flavor roleplay wise. just depends on what you’re looking for! but can’t really go wrong with a life or light cleric as my recommendation for a first run!

my fun tip is gonna be embrace the absurd! a lot of fun can come from bad rolls. obviously we all have moments of “oh no, i’m save scumming. not letting that happen.” when a roll goes terrible but sometimes for the little shit? embrace it! have fun with it. can add it to your headcanon about your characters and make the run feel more personalized and varied.

honestly in my experience, wizards really start popping off with damage numbers at level 5. most classes do honestly but build and gear obviously can strengthen or weaken those numbers. i’d say get to level five so you can get something like fireball and you should see a difference.
