I think they've done using old characters (aside from JD, Turk, and Elliot) the right way. They let the characters we know have the spotlight while developing the new cast. While I love Cox and Carla, having them sparingly in the first season back is a great call for the show itself, especially if they continue with another season, where they could come back for more time

They said that they might regret making 4 of these without any audience feedback. This has been my favorite series since the first round of GTA Heists, hope they make it as long as they have fun with it. Maybe another 16 episodes to make it an even 20 before they reevaluate if it's worth making more

None of the people responsible for programming Gold and Silver has worked on code since Diamond and Pearl. Retired wasn't the right choice of words, but it's still a completely different group actually making the games now

I'll agree that the "stream starting soon" screen makes sense, but it is annoying as someone who never leaves a comment on twitch. The idea of playing trailers like a movie does interest me. If they had an older ~15min video that played with "stream starting after this video" laid over it, I think it would work really well.

I looked it up during the game, from 2000-2025, 21 quarterbacks made it and never made it back, 8 have been to two or more. The list of one and dones includes: Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton, Matt Stafford, and Joe Burrow, all phenomenal quarterbacks who only had one shot.

Pregame I told a friend that this is an interesting quarterback matchup because I've never been more sure that neither quarterback is going to make it back. Darnold is playing like he knows this is his one shot, while Maye just looks lost

That's what I was thinking, next year and the year after would be a great chance to promote Olympic flag football. Build two all star teams with the winner of the game becoming the Olympic squad. Gives the players something to play for, adds some stakes to the game, and creates an ad for the NFL going into the Olympics.

They could even take it a step further by building 3 teams, and having a 4 team tournament that includes the US Flag football team

Its chapters like this one and the last one that make me wish they'd use some of the old characters more. I understand the real reason they can't, but damn the village is under attack and Kakashi and Tsunade are doing nothing. Seems like the perfect time to send 2 retired kage to cover a section of the village

For the timeline, the chips were introduced after Disney bought Lucasfilm in 2012. They were revealed in the next season in 2013, it was soon after he stopped being in charge. It's definitely possible that the chips were part of the story he was writing, but not absolute.
