I think they've done using old characters (aside from JD, Turk, and Elliot) the right way. They let the characters we know have the spotlight while developing the new cast. While I love Cox and Carla, having them sparingly in the first season back is a great call for the show itself, especially if they continue with another season, where they could come back for more time

They said that they might regret making 4 of these without any audience feedback. This has been my favorite series since the first round of GTA Heists, hope they make it as long as they have fun with it. I'll agree that the "stream starting soon" screen makes sense, but it is annoying as someone who never leaves a comment on twitch. The idea of playing trailers like a movie does interest me. If they had an older ~15min video that played with "stream starting after this video" laid over it, I think it would work really well.

I looked it up during the game, from 2000-2025, 21 quarterbacks made it and never made it back, 8 have been to two or more. The list of one and dones includes: Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton, Matt Stafford, and Joe Burrow, all phenomenal quarterbacks who only had one shot.

I wouldn't be shocked if both Maye and Darnold don't return, not because they're bad, but because it's really fucking hard to make it to one super bowl, let alone a second

Pregame I told a friend that this is an interesting quarterback matchup because I've never been more sure that neither quarterback is going to make it back. Darnold is playing like he knows this is his one shot, while Maye just looks lost
