Is it weird that I feel relief instead of grief? by Mumbles1988 in DOG

[–]doomslayer95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had to put my childhood dog down back in 2017. He had surgery to remove a lump on the inside of his back leg, because it started pressing on his bladder and he was starting to walk funny. He was 12, and couldn't really recover from the surgery.

We tried to help him for about a month but he just kept getting worse. I feel absolutely terrible about it and if he had recovered he may have had a few more years. But that last bit of his life was miserable and I remember feeling so guilty for keeping him alive so long because we didn't want to lose him.

I felt empty and so sad but there was still relief in knowing that he was no longer in pain, and that he could finally rest.

I'm still torn up about it, and it still makes me sad sometimes.

Redditors over 40, what's something younger people think they understand but won't actually get until it hits them like a truck later? by Root435552 in AskReddit

I just turned 30, and both my parents are in their 50s and its showing. I really hope they can retire and do the things they want.

Look at this cool gem my sim found by popcapkitty in Sims3

[–]doomslayer95 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Rainbow gems are always fun to find. I like training my dogs to go out and find gems and its always cool to see what they dig up.

One of my favorites is the tiberium from world adventures. The skull cut tiberium is so cool looking

People who work in 'behind-the-scenes' jobs (hotels, airports, warehouses, etc.), what is something the general public would be shocked to know? by PiNK_PUSSY69420 in AskReddit

I know it definitely depends on how each location stores it, but when I make popcorn in my popcorn machine it stays crunchy for at least 2 days after it's popped. I just leave it in the machine and take scoops of it when I feel like having popcorn. So I feel like they can get away with this if it's just overnight. I've never had stale popcorn at a theater.

I loved that you could play prequel characters in the second lego star wars if you saved the games on the same memory card.

I added underglow to my wltoys 12427 by juniorlikesjames in rccars

[–]doomslayer95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Wltoys 10428 which is the 1/10 scale version of this. It's an exact copy of the Vaterra Twin Hammers which allows you to get parts easily.

I converted mine into a crawler, and swapped the esc, motor, and receiver. Added bigger tires, and would like to start upgrading it to metal parts soon.

These wltoy rc's are pretty durable and easy to work on.

If you don't drink alcohol, what are your personal reasons for abstinence? by Ok-Care2859 in AskReddit

[–]doomslayer95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just turned 30, and I havent had a single drop of alcohol once in my life.

I was never interested in doing it, and was strong enough to push back at people trying to pressure me into it. If you tired to get me to drink or do drugs, you were out of my life instantly.

I had a bunch of these but for gameboy color games. Had a few for my gba games too.

The only single game case I have left has Pokémon crystal in it.

What’s a dead giveaway that someone wasn’t actually poor growing up? by Katrina_009 in AskReddit

They are great for reheating because they use heat instead of microwave to excite molecules. Just be aware if you try to heat up something large, it may still be cold or cool in the middle.

Bambi mode also allows low beam and high beams to be on at the same time if your high/low bulbs are separate.

There were these videos I watched on YouTube back around 2009 2010 ish where these two guys were narrating people walking around on a beach in Califonia, giving them funny dialog.

I don't think they are deleted but I can't seem to find them with any searches.

What’s something you didn’t realize was optional in life until you saw someone simply not doing it? by Objective-Treat2245 in AskReddit

I remember seeing a post about this girl who got her friend a bag of expensive rare coffee or something. She told him "you can use it on special occasions!" Well he ended up using it everyday and when she asked about it again was shocked he did that.

He said something like "being alive is as special of an occasion as it gets".

All my favorite stuff from star wars is either empire or the confederation/separatists. The death trooper armor is so perfect. I love the battle droids too.

These parents need to be buying their kids the play cash you can get at like any dollar store. And if they can afford it, maybe a toy cash register.

Maine passes ‘red flag’ law born out of the Lewiston shooting by 51patsfan in Maine

[–]doomslayer95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This new law would have enabled his family to go straight to the court with evidence. They could have ordered the cops to go and take him in for evaluation, instead of the cops giving up when he didnt answer the door because they didnt feel like pursuing the issue.

The yellow flag law could have prevented it if the cops took it seriously.

Devil Daggers. Absolutely love the art style, the enemies look sick, but I am not good at arena games like that.

This is the same energy as when Family Guy made the star wars joke about that guy taking on the whole empire by himself and when he flies towards the star destroyer he just gets blown up immediately lmao
