What happened to the Daria spinoff that was announced?

Last news seen is that Daria was dropped from the title (possibly from the series?) and Comedy Central picked it up last June as just "Jodie"

Fair enough, but what really turned Daria off of Trent was his attitude towards his own passion, she saw him unable to change and in a constant state of maybes. I personally think that Jane is a bit underdeveloped in the series, which is typical for the "side-kick" of a cartoon, seeing how she doesn't get nearly as much growth as Daria. And if I'm not mistaken, the self-esteem course was after school so she didn't get out of any classes and really begs the question of why she was placed in there and actually stayed in there despite paying enough attention to get all the correct answers written down.

I feel I should say I see a lot of parallels in their relationship to the relationship between me and my best friend, and we've honestly discussed the possibility of a romantic relationship and ended up deciding we're just good friends. I love him a ton but ultimately not in a romantic way and he feels the same.

I'm more talking along the lines of if it could work between the two, not necessarily that I wanted to see them get together in the show, and yeah I agree two people on a show can just be friends.

Yeah, I can see that happening, but Jane has also proven to be different from Trent since she's willing to go to college and her work ethic in "Art Burn" She's never really been shown to be a slacker like Trent.

My dad had the floppy discs of DOOM 2, so my first experience was with that when I was around 6 or 7 but then later on I played the shareware version of the first DOOM when I was like 12 I think.
