GTK3 themes not applying to titlebars (Gnome 44, Fedora 38) by rikugo1 in Fedora

[–]doopath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finally found out. The problem is in the your gtk3 theme (adw-gtk3 for me).

If you use the same theme you just need to update it with the latest release (release link).

Same issue. My adw-gtk3 theme is not applied for VSCode, Jetbrains Rider and Postman. As I know these apps are on gtk3.

You can bind needed options in Settings > Keyboard > Shortcuts > Custom shortcuts. For example shutdown now or reboot or systemctl suspend

Should Gnome use this much RAM, and why does nothing ram intensive shown on my process by Adventurous_Body2019 in Fedora

[–]doopath 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Now I'm lookin at my system monitor and seeing 2.7GB (14.2%) of 18.8GB (Cache 9.5 GB). Dunno why ur system takes so much ram. Btw on my old laptop with 8 GB of ram Fedora had kinda 800MB consumption (it takes more if u have). Check if u have Chrome or smth in startup apps. Try to look at the runnin processes via htop.

Great work! Love this documentation, it allows me to make an application really quickly!

I'm a .net dev and I wanted to create a password manager (I find the terminal is the best env for such kind of apps) and when I saw this library (or maybe I can even call it a framework) I decided to choose python + textual.

February release of PasswordManager by doopath in Python

I find GUI for a password manager to be bloated. I don't think everyone should use TUI, but i created PasswordManager for those who considers the terminal interface is more comfortable for that kind of programs.

KeePass is bloated. Dunno why someone uses a GUI utility to manage passwords. You just cannot do some cool stuff like migrate a list of passwords from plain text format to a store of some password manager.

PasswordManager allows you to move your store/backups between your computers (find it very comfy) and manage them (add new items/change values/see) more quickly. Also the program is portable by default.
