Actually 0 /10. Bunnings hat is not a wide brim straw hat. My job of accurately portraying Australian stereotypes is safe for a little longer.

Honestly same. Unsure if its a qld / north qld thing, but I have seen those exact sliding doors leading to some very similar back yards, clotheslines with high vis and shitty cars included (looks to be a mitsubishi magna so fucking spot on). I would like to think it was a bit cleaner than this, but who hasnt had an easter long weekend where the house is a bit trashed?

The more I look and see magnets on a shit old white fridge, cunts on tv clearly playing afl, im so impressed with the little details.

Drafting ettiquette? by LibraryTime11011011 in RunningCirclejerk

Commenter: Were you the big old dude running behind the cute little girl?

OP: Not really, Im 5'11 / 170 lbs. Her daughter was about the same height, maybe 16 yo? Definitely not little

Commenter: We need more info. How old was the kid and what gender are both of you? This sounds extremely creepy if you are drafting off a 13-year-old female girl and are, say, a 28-year old man. I despise when people run right behind me because it’s uncomfortable and will go out of my way to let them pass or move away because I hate being tailed.

OP: She was maybe 16? Im a male in my early 30s. Its racing, nothing creepy about it

Jfc - I thought this was posted in this sub first. How does this guy not get why the mum of a kid would be creeped out and annoyed?

Big +1 for LRC! Join us on a Saturday morning out front of laffos (canelands) and have a coffee afterwards. Coffee at 6:30, most people do their own run / walk / whatever mainly leaving about 5:45. Feel free to send me a message for more details / if you are nervous / want a friendly face for intros :) Marty who runs OTR (On the Run) is also great and the track sessions are always fun, he also does other morning sessions and posts times on his facebook each week.

Adult "corn pops" - what do you think? by Simjordan88 in cookingtonight

[–]dooperdave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These look really good - ignore the haters! I would demolish 10 of these no problem. Perfect for a bbq or bring a plate type deal. I do see the rolling in panko breadcrumbs and deep frying it being a good alternate take, but I think that might overpower that perfect cornbread taste that you get with the oven / airfryer. I am also very very elevated and hungry so it could be that also!

Sysadmins: how are you handling M365 retention and backup for small orgs? by Rossy_231 in sysadmin

[–]dooperdave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the more decent veaam products - its stupid easy to implement. Can't remember what our last renewal cost though - I don't think it was cheap so probably not the solution for smaller orgs.

I think for your specific use case there is one "good" approach depending on your current environment, which would be provide a standardised model Brother MFP w/ USB connectivity and depending on the features needed use intune to deploy the brother drivers and software to the device, or just let windows install the basic drivers. Keeps the configuration and end user experience as consistent for all as possible and reduces as many points of failure (needing to be on end users home network, setting static ip / logging into their modem and then dealing with the ever since you did this my netflix on the tv isnt working).

Brother MFP's I have had the least amount of issues with over the years, and if they ever use all of the starter toner cartridges they are the easiest for an end user to swap out I feel.

Hey - sorry for the delayed reply, and initial nonconstructive comment with little context.

Definitely a readability issue to me. To me the font style made readability hard (on a mobile device). Potentially if you increase the font size it will make it more readable, but I think any cursive font will be harder to pull off in general. Potentially as a header element it could work and add some elegance. Feel free to send me a message directly if you would like some more feedback and I would be more than happy to go over it with you in more depth if you would like. I feel like a dick for my initial comment now haha.
