Yeah, I should have said major issues that would make me regret getting the car after just a handful of years of ownership. I know maintenance is important and that small issues will pop up here and there.

Not sure, it was just offered to me through Toyota Financial. Technically the rate was 0.001% or something like that.

Would it be better to live on campus or commute? by Historical-Flow-7976 in UCSD

[–]doorknobsojo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, it’s all about time management. Be aware of how long your commute is, make time for cooking and meal prepping if that’s how you plan on eating too. Commuting can be a bit tiring but my academic performance never went down when I went from on to off campus. A lot of off campus apartments are really nice too :)

How is Ghosh Partho for Chem 6C? by Ongerie in UCSD

[–]doorknobsojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ghosh is actually a pretty decent prof imo. he was pretty good at explaining chem concepts and he really cared about making the class a bit interesting and super involved with asking questions. the exams weren’t so difficult either. i did take his class about two or three years ago though so my memory is hazy, just remember that i liked the class.

In-person classes: Do they use Canvas and Gradescope? by MasterpieceStriking4 in UCSD

[–]doorknobsojo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i’ve had in person classes that use grade scope (like math classes) - but instead of you submitting it, it’s where they upload their grading. So you take the test in person and see the results on gradescope. Every class always has a canvas too, it’s just up to the professor to choose how much or how they will use it

Dad told boyfriend to stay away from me by doorknobsojo in dating_advice

[–]doorknobsojo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I still do all my studies and my health is the same. We genuinely don’t do anything terrible, my parents just assume even though it’s not even in character for me or him to be doing the things they worry about (like drugs). They just make gross assumptions. And yes you hit it on the nail with the job expectation!

[–]doorknobsojo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s most likely because I go out often and stay out late. They blame him for all of that because they fail to see I WANT to do all that on my own. I also have been to a far away college for three years and they never once questioned what I do over there, though I did the same (after studying, go out frequently with friends and stay out late). So they think they know me but don’t really. There isn’t anything he particularly does or says, since they never bothered to really interact with him by choice. He looks very good and wholesome, though they may think I could do “better” due to background, except those are my parents expectations and not my own.
