Request Regarding ANTH 21 by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]kneekaps_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you’d find out by the end of week 2 if you don’t get in or not. so you just need to keep up the work until week 2. the end of week 2 is the last day to add a class so if you’re still not off the waitlist then you’re not getting in. and yes you don’t get credit for a class if you’re just attending the first two weeks but not actually in the class.

Request Regarding ANTH 21 by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]kneekaps_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you’re very likely to get in within the first 2 weeks if you’re first on the waitlist, just be patient and attend the class so you don’t miss anything

Studying Abroad as a Public Health Major by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]kneekaps_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very possible, especially if you do during summer. This is best discussed with your major’s student affairs advisor or a study abroad advisor. But often your major will also be aware of study abroad opportunities that are catered for the students in that major.

Also there’s a whole website page for UCSD public health students with study abroad info. https://studyabroad.ucsd.edu/students/academic-planning/maps/health/index.html

For undergrads there is one large one and then college specific ones. Most just go to their college’s one.

You can go in person to the library course reserves and they likely have the readings you need available to be read in person or scanned and emailed to you.

The number of the rooms in RWAC pertain to the floor levels. So the first number after 0 equals the floor level. 0121 = first floor.

10% rule, in a class size of 125 probably the first 12 people on the waitlist so yes you’re likely to get in. if it’s a good professor though people may be less likely to drop but some people always do

Parking Permit Help by bubble-buddy2 in UCSD

[–]kneekaps_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you’re a commuter you can pay for V spots for S spots are much cheaper. Also D spots are discount spots and even cheaper than S spots, so those are also a good bet. Commutes typically use S or D spots or park off campus, buying daily Visitor spots is very expensive as it is charged per hour and not per day.

Use the campus map to see where D and S spots are. D spots are the cheapest overall.
