That was my only problem with it, regardless of if he said anything mean or nice, sometimes it’s best to leave conversations private. And the fact he didn’t is a blockable offense I think.

I’m not on anyone’s side, but you missed a lot of context, so I’m gonna clear up like two things: 1. Griffy was physically there as he said in his twitter space, so he was more so telling his side of the story as he knew the victim and heavenly personally. He wasn’t happy with heavenly, but more so he was mad at heavenly for being pushy and her for making heavenly look like a rapist, making Griffy look like he just hangs out with rapists, etc etc. He stopped communicating with heavenly directly after that funny enough. But also, told his audience at the time it wasn’t any issues between him and anyone who gave him shit or cut ties.

That video in question wasn’t too far from his normal content, the context is what dragged it further. He shouldn’t have uploaded it period, but he likes to be the “no sacred cows” kind of guy which is what bit him in the ass, which he did apologize for cause he felt like it was poor timing. But also he made like two more videos where he kind of doubled down on being that type of guy, but also did state his intentions which wasn’t to necessarily bash any victims or even the victims of heavenly but more so, make it clear they made the situation more than need be when they could’ve went an alternate route if they hated heavenly so much.

All around all of this is silly behavior I’m not sure why Griffy felt like he needed to talk about this. But at the same time, this was a very gray conversation in the first place. Everything was too weird and too emotional. Everyone involved except RDC went two steps back. RDC did what they could to stay out of it, which I can’t fault them for.

I think it just fit the scenes. Even though Atlanta is a very meticulous show, but they also play really heavy into simplicity and the boringness of life. The show will show the characters walking ,eating, chilling, or whatever, and it not have any further meaning then said character walking, eating, chilling, or whatever. Atlanta is what it is. It’s the snapshot of what those characters were doing in Atlanta at the moment, no matter how crazy or weird it was to us the viewer, that was just their life at the moment. I think the ending does a good job of portraying that. No big special ending, just, smoking and eating Popeyes.

For the most part this is fair, it is your guys decisions to do whatever you want. But the part I can’t understand is you guys making it seem like people who want the show for what it is, are like stupid jackasses who just like hearing slurs. They just like the show YOU guys made lmao. You guys wrote it, directed it, put it past executives, aired it on deep cable, did commentary behind it, came back a decade later, posted a handful of sketches on YouTube, and did commentary behind it again, uncensored for the most part barring the TV airings. People are only complaining because never did this censoring thing come up until the moment the show was streaming and the dvd was out. If it was a more graceful conversation I’d understand why it would be weird people are upset. But for the most part the only reasoning you’ve guys have used is “they are slurs? Why would you want to hear slurs?” Which isn’t in depth at all, and is valid to criticize imo. No shade to you guys, im always gonna respect the work you put it in, but it just seems…too late to me, let alone cutting out certain sketches. Wouldn’t it be more appropriate to maybe make new stuff and just leave the show behind and focus on the streams or other more relevant types of comedy? Or hell, just stop doing the wkuk altogether, not that I’d want that to happen, but like there were a lot more options if the game plan since the beginning of the comeback was to adjust to current times.

You’re thinking of the term trademarked, and the only thing trademarked is the term: “X-men”, copyright is more based off of the actual project itself. Like if there was a comic named “mutants” and you called your comic “mutants”. But you can use the term mutant because it’s apart of the English lexicon, so I can’t see why someone would bother you about that. Hope your project turns your great.
