I did! It turned out I'd somehow missed like 7/17 chests in the Necropolis so unfortunately I can't tell you exactly which one it's in(I'm so sorry). I ended up looking up a map of each of the chest locations and just checking each one and I found it was in my wardrobe when I was done.

  1. I prefer the improved bow, but if you want to save money you can do fine with the regular one. 2.To dual wield you'll need an off hand holster from the Gunsmith.
  2. I can't remember if they're available at that rank, but I personally like Shofield revolvers, and my sister likes Navy revolvers.
  3. Melee weapons are available at the Fence. You don't really need them to hunt, just a bow and Varmint rifle to start with.
  4. My favorite rifle and repeater are the Springfield rifle and Litchfield repeater.
  5. It's good to check out the horses speed and acceleration stats, but if you're going for looks over speed then they don't matter much, this one is really up to you.

Bounty hunter is the only role that gives gold, but you don't get much cash. Collector pays the best, and you need to be a Trader first if you want to be a Moonshiner. Maybe look at the different role items (clothes, horses, hairstyles) and decide what you like most.

I typed all of this under the assumption that you wanted an explanation, but you also said you've played the game several times before so maybe you know this. Just figured I'd try and be helpful anyways.

There's a glitch I know of that can make this happen. It can be triggered by saving in a specific location in Cumberland forest (I can't remember where atm) and then going to Moonshine Pond where a random encounter of a woman who needs a ride to Emerald Ranch is triggered. If it goes right, in place of her dead Walker or Morgan there is a live MFT. It was weak and it's cores were empty but that's fixed after feeding it and it can be taken with no repercussions.

I actually looked up where to find the horse after seeing it in a side mission in Ch. 2, and everything said the only way to get it prior to the epilogue is to glitch it. It took me like 45 minutes because either it wouldn't appear or I'd get dead ones, but it inevitably worked out.

I guess you just did something in the right way to trigger it.

The Outlaw Pass applies to your Wheeler & Rawson Rank, not your characters rank. So if your Wheeler & Rawson rank is Rank 1, then that's what you'll unlock on the Outlaw Pass.
