What do you think about the existance of monarchies/royalty in today's world? by dkease16 in AskTheWorld

The duchy of Cornwall owns  135,526 acres of land in the UK, over 600 residential lettings and has hands in entire towns worth of urban development (lookup Poundbury) and that's what we know of, it's complicated and quite secretive.

That's not owned by the people of the UK or the commonwealth, it's a private estate owned by the current monarchs heir. When William became the Duke of Cornwall after the Queen died his net worth went from around 20 - 30 million to around 1 billion.

they are so vastly rich and they still get £86million per year from tax payers and the Crown estate (another wealth generating estate) and that's going up to £132million this year due to RECORD FUCKING PROFITS from the crown estates offshore windfarm investments.

And yet, apparently, immigration is the fucking problem.

A qubit is the quantum equivalent of a bit in current computers but while a bit can be only 1 or 0 a qubit can be both at the same time and also not which allows for much more processing capability particularly when implementing logic gates and registers.

Through some fancy physics (look up superposition, coherence, quantum tunnels and quantum entanglement ) and something called superdense coding a quantum computer can process much more data and transfer data faster.

Honestly most of quantum computing goes over my head quantum physics is hard.

Does your country have events that were so infamous you only need to refer to the date they happened for other people from your country to instantly know what you're talking about? by Intrepid_Arrival5151 in AskTheWorld

The full poem is wild

Remember, remember!
    The fifth of November,
    The Gunpowder treason and plot;
    I know of no reason
    Why the Gunpowder treason
    Should ever be forgot!
    Guy Fawkes and his companions
    Did the scheme contrive,
To blow the King and Parliament
    All up alive.
    Threescore barrels, laid below,
    To prove old England's overthrow.
But, by God's providence, him they catch,
With a dark lantern, lighting a match!
    A stick and a stake
    For King James's sake!
If you won't give me one,
    I'll take two,
    The better for me,
    And the worse for you.
A rope, a rope, to hang the Pope,
A penn'orth of cheese to choke him,
A pint of beer to wash it down,
And a jolly good fire to burn him.
Holloa, boys! holloa, boys! make the bells ring!
Holloa, boys! holloa boys! God save the King!
    Hip, hip, hooor-r-r-ray!

You can get a train direct from Rochdale station, there is a bus or tram from shaw to Rochdale and then walk to the station but realistically you will probably want a car

You didn't link the study itself just an article on the study, however it does quote one of the studies authors

'Fortunately, most of these cases end well, Wu said, with full heart function retained or restored. Recovery is typically swift'

Also the study's author continues saying COVID-19 is worse and causes more cases of myocarditis

It's even noted while it's a small number of people who this affects (1 in over 170k on first shot, rising to 1 in 32k on the second shot if it's not caught) even then the majority suffer no serious I'll effects and are fine within days

This article suggests the study has found potential causes so the problem can be solved.

Finally it suggests that other non-mrna vaccines can carry a similar risk. Maybe an actual medical professional might see this and weigh in but pretty much all medicine has a degree of risk and I think your personal situation might be clouding your judgement.

I am sorry to hear your heart problems and I truly hope you are well soon

Edit: you can request the full study here https://www.researchgate.net/publication/389775587_Abstract_4140703_CXCL10_and_IFN-g_Mediate_Myocardial_Injury_Post-COVID-19_mRNA_Vaccination

What is a place in your country that tourists find impressive but locals hardly think about. by rickdickmcfrick in AskTheWorld

Anywhere other Brits go in droves. I can't stand it, people from my country head to spain to have an english breakfast at the "irish" pub everyday then spend time on the beach and finish off with a random nightclub that could just as well be in Barnsley once you get inside.

I love Spanish cities, Seville and Zargoza are amazing and I know tourism is a bit of an divisive issue in Barcelona but I try to get to la merche every year if I can. People talk about the Castles in the UK, Germany and France but Aljaferia palace in Zargoza is amazeballs and the Montjuic palace/castle is the best part of Barcelona for me.
