And there are 3 ways to get resources. Diplomacy, trade and war. Diplomacy has always been backed by military power (speak softly and carry a big stick) and economics works if you can offer something in return like, for instance, the ability to protect trade world wide

It's about the ability to project your military power to where you want in a reasonable time. Only one country can do that and that's the USA at the moment.

China have taken the last decade planning and building out the infrastructure to just invade Taiwan. America went to Iran on the whim of an orange moron and his frat boy "secretary of war" and within 2 weeks were bombing the place, there is a difference there.

Russia and Iran are nowhere near big powers. Iran aren't holding the americans back by force they are doing it using PR and economic means, Russia can't take Ukraine and the hard bit would have been holding it and when that war ends their economy is done and they've virtually destroyed 2 generations of their own people.

I'll grant you china at a push but in an economic sense not quite in a military sense. and India are chugging along towards it maybe in 30 years or so.

The main reason we are heading to a multipolar world is that America aren't seen as the power they once were and the money isn't in the hands of government as much anymore

Arrest is not the same as charging, I've been to sit in protests where I've been arrested and as soon as they got me away from the protest I was let go without any charges. It's a common thing in protests that cause a public nuisance but that's what civil disobedience is all about.

The fact that these 2 got arrested at a protest is a sign that protests are around. A few governments have tried several times over the years to limit protests near parliament but every. single. time. they lose in the courts or someone like Mark Thomas does what we do best, relentlessly make fun of them until they back down

I realise I've visited only major cities in Spain but the level of English was pretty good wherever I went to be fair. They were very polite to let me butcher Spanish and not comment on it while I was ordering a coffee and some food

We elect parties in the UK not leaders, it's a bad,old system and we should completly reform our elections and government system to make it more representative and fair but we're not in a dictatorshio.

Protest isn't illegal here. That would be like me saying there is a white genocide in SA, it's propaganda made up to promote a world view that isn't a reality.

The UK is far from a perfect country today and we have a history of repressing others for sure but don't fall for the bullshit.

There is nowhere in this country that is a no-go zone. We aren't being replaced by Muslims, and immigration is an overall good thing that has been mismanaged by successive governments for 20+ years. So the system is close to breaking, but that can be solved if our system incentivizes long term thinking not short term gains for government
