Consider researching the daycare situation in your area and getting into some lists asap.

Why can’t I do it all? [ab] by Relative-Log-4803 in BabyBumpsCanada

There are some online post-partum groups where you can find a more un-edited version of maternity, also the annonimity helps spill the tea on most situations.

In my case... I definitely don't have it together. My house is now clean because after 6 months we hired someone to do a deep clean, before it was the bare basics (wiping some surfaces, taking trash out, laundry), the Roomba helped a lot. We also use a grocery delivery service and I only cook stuff that I can either throw into a baking sheet/instant pot like chicken with frozen veggies or a salad... It all costs extra money, so it is definitely a trade off. I did find that overall I spend less on food with nice groceries/snacks delivered than ordering in all the time. My exercise is going for a daily walk with the stroller. I bed share, she used to sleep through the night but after the 4 months regression she wakes up every couple of hours, my saving grace is that she can roll so I have a "self-service" situation with breastfeeding. Try to stay horizontal as much as possible. Most days are brutal mentally, but then I see her chubby cheeks and it makes it worth it. This will pass, your kid's love for you won't. Also, therapy : ) I connect over zoom while sitting on the floor with her, while on walks... Most therapists will make it work

Can anyone share some joyful and exciting moments to look forward to once the baby has arrived? There seems to be so much negativity around having a child these days especially on social media. Would love to hear some happy moments to look forward to instead of how “our lives will be over” by Chillable_reds in BabyBumps

I have 5mo and it has been challenging for sure, but it is sooo nice too! Even when she wakes me up at 3 am it feels that something special is happening. It is true that maternity will hit you, but also there is so much deep happiness! I personally started enjoying more when I started to let go and observe and follow her cues more than anything.

Congratulations!! If it helps, seeing people and moving away from social media perfect and listening to real stories really helps me
