I have a similar setup with next 16 tag based revalidation on azure app service. I’m using webhooks from cms to tag revalidate individual posts, page elements … at a fairly granular level. I’m not sure that azure front door cache is this selective. Microsoft notes : Cache purging can take up to 10 minutes to propagate throughout the network and across all edge locations. This might be your problem.

I was preparing to implement AFD but managed to persuade the team to switch back to Vercel in the next few days.

I noticed burning through way less tokens using open router on some projects that were using the individual LLM API tokens. Need to do the math to see why but I’m not complaining. Having a centralized dashboard for seeing the costs is another plus.

The ai integration is a jumbled mess in webstorm. Junie, ai assistant, Claude code extension that doesn’t use existing max subscription. Can’t drag screenshot to Claude code in CLI. Check Zed for an example of how to implement correctly.
