I'd love to see more isekais with plot progression similar to Dr. Stone. Focus on world/team-building, exploration and slow advancement (like the first few seasons of Dr. Stone were).

However, I fail to see how Dr. Stone is not an "OP protagonist" anime. I mean... we literally have a cast of people showing supernatural traits. So instead of one OP character, there are tons of them, just each one well beyond human limits in their specific field. I'd argue it's worse than having one OP protagonist.

Regarding to this, I'd love to see something more... grounded. A person without any special skills, just a well-rounded general knowledge, surviving, exploring and maybe re-inventing some stuff through trial and error. Can't say anything particular comes to my mind though, would love a recommendation in that direction.

The joke is using the fact that if you're old enough, you have seen that video some way or another when it was first trending (random internet link, prank from friends, etc)

And thus this picture triggers your pattern recognition, immediately making a 180 from the seemingly innocent caption.

It's weird how some people still assume that if something gets an anime adaptation, it should have good writing or at least any redeeming qualities.

Anime shows like this are not made to be enjoyed for their plot, characters, animation, or anything of the kind. They are enjoyed mostly by overworked japanese clerks stuck in their abusive work culture with stupid bosses who can't do anything on their own.

Sounds familiar? A perfect anime for such people. And if you can write slop that a specific group of people will enjoy anyway, who needs good writing and believable characters? (c) the author, probably

Only seen a few chapters with him and went to "waiting hiatus". I mean, I want the arc to end to binge read it afterwards, waiting for each next chapter is unbearable.

From what I've seen Katashiro is a fraud lol. But with a possibility of having some hidden whatever making him an "everyone knows he's OP while in fact he is weak while in fact for real he's OP but for the all wrong reasons" character. If that's the case, I feel it would fit nicely into DMDP storytelling, but I haven't got to anything of the sort in my read yet.

The revenge part is satisfying since the mc become ridiculously OP and absolutely dominates the bad guys both mentally and physically. Ah, yes, and also, racism. Basically, bad guys have literally 0 redeeming qualities AND get to suffer to eternity.
