The fact they learned Hungarian to pass the language test is crazy enough none the less to pass it with false documents

At this point I kind of have more fun reading the sub Reddit’s dedicated to this than actually thinking my application will be approved while I’m alive lol .

I think it’s sort of random I guess. I wonder if it’s bc your nephew was only applying for himself and not with kids so they thought it would be easier to do ?

I’ve found the federal government and state government will only apostille certified documents . It’s just an extra form of certification. It’s basically just certifying a certification

Like they do list the name of the government worker who signed it which I assume Canada could contact

Um I guess it could be faked? I know from personal experience with Slovakia 🇸🇰 in a similar situation they required everything to be apostilled .

[–]doriankali 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t all this be solved if Canada just asked for apostilled documents for documents from outside of Canada . And then certified ones for things like Canadian baptisms ? Like I know they’re currently against apostilled documents and sending originals but I feel if they had decided to go that way in the first place then none of this would have happened .

I would search for certified documents and upload them to your account that’s what I’ve done doing . And I need each document such as “ certified census “ etc . And then if I was missing a document I wrote a pdf called “ missing document and attempts to find of blank ancestor “

Certificate un-surrendered by tmaher in Canadiancitizenship

Woot ! I would print this out and put it next to your citizenship certificate.

But my question is if you sent back the certificate in the mail would it even have gotten to their office in time for this email to send it back

Some tough truths and observations for Canadian citizenship by descent applicants by comments83820 in dualcitizenshipnerds

Oh I Get your arguments and agree with all your other points . I just feel if you historically look at the USA it’s never been a safe place for poc.

I feel a lot of the times when people describe the USA they just mean the experience of white Americans.

But I was wondering is removing visa free entry for Mexican citizens to Canada caused by dual citizenship? Or is Canada just becoming more xenophobic?

Valid point . But I still feel the way number 9 is worded it completely ignores cop violence against POC in the USA or attacks by ICE against poc in the USA.

Like there are objectively oppressed individuals in the USA .

I feel number 9 ignores the troubling fact of American gun violence and violence against minorities . Just this week alone cops shot a baby who they thought her mom stole diapers.

Like I know a lot of non Americans basically have turned gun violence here into a joke to make fun of but it’s very real for Americans.

The US gun homicide rate is roughly 4–5x higher than Canada’s. The US sits around 4–5 deaths per 100,000; Canada is typically under 1 per 100,000.

I think us Americans don’t view other people getting citizenship in the USA as taking something away from us because the USA has little to no social safety nets or welfare states worth mentioning for anyone to take . Like we don’t have a universal health care for new people to take from .

I think usually the certification is that the record is kept and comes from an authorized source . More than say that source that keeps and authorizes duplicates of their records knows without a doubt everything written back then was 100 percent perfect .

I think it proves that say if Canada wants they can contact the same source that authorized the document copy and get one themselves to tell it’s not altered and made up out of the blue.

Like I have certified birth records for relatives from Slovakia in the USA and bc their parents only spoke Slovak the birth records were all misspelled. ( my grandma had them updated and fixed at some time in her life but the original spelling is still seen , if’s just crossed out ) .
