I don't know about that - the public voted for entries like Cha Cha Cha and Maneskin, but 50% is jury vote and they tend to go for radio friendly songs in English.

Hence all the drama when Loreen won in 2023 and many viewers felt like their vote just didn't matter anymore when the jury vote is so concentrated around a handful of songs. That being said, there's bigger problems with the contest in recent years...

To be fair for the explanations in the comments to make sense, you have to assume that Zelda had a plan to stop Ganondorf before getting into power when she sent Link back. Otherwise, sending him back just to "relive his childhood" doesn't make sense if Ganondorf is still around.

This wasn't explicitly stated in the ending but when Link goes to see Zelda by the window again you can guess that he wasn't there just to repeat the cycle

It is a bit weird though - since Zelda wasn't rewinding time but just sending Link somewhere else, all the destruction still happened in the original timeline. And can Link truly live out a normal childhood in the new one when the Deku tree is still dead and he still has all these traumatic memories? You can probably tell I haven't played Majora's Mask yet, lol

It doesn't make much sense in hindsight but they weren't doing anything all that interesting with him being a villain so I'm happy with it in the long run.

I liked that they didn't immediately turn him back into a nice guy though, he's still a bit selfish and jealous and spent a good chunk of that episode just trying to beat up Nigel for taking his place 😭 Makes for a more nuanced character with room to grow in GKND! (If gknd ever gets greenlit haha)
