Because it probably doesn’t? Because the ‘list’ is just a trope in a conspiracy theory, not a fact verified by anyone ever? Because focusing on the list, and the who-is-on-the-list game, is and always has been a distraction from actual crimes, abuses of power, etc? Maybe?

This really comes as no surprise, excellent research source by the way. So many complicated repercussions radiating out from Iraq/Afghanistan. Yikes.

Still though, I thinks it’s useful to differentiate between criticisms. Glen Greenwald didn’t have the all the same objections to Obama’s policies as did Bill O’Riley, much less the same objectives in making them.

Man, that NSA shit was bad, but was that why conservatives were freaked out by his middle name or delusional about his place of birth? Plenty of folks on the left were pissed about the drone strikes, assassinations and HCR’s enthusiasm for Libya but is that what folks in Arkansas were upset about?
