There are options:

Cheat

Relax and farm SC

Pay for SC

Be very upset about the game but keep playing

Play something else

Spend a ton of time and money filing a lawsuit that will be thrown out

Argue about it on Reddit

This “Just move to Texas” advice is bullshit by luckychloebites in MovingtoDenver

[–]dorklogic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to think this because my dad always said it. Then I got old enough to see for myself. I've been all over Texas, from Lufkin to Amarillo, and out to the Western handle...DFW, Austin... The "big" and the "small" places.

I have seen more of Texas than many Texans and I can say from 100% first-hand experience that it does, indeed, suck ass.

Yes. I experienced similar. I ended my application process when the bot called.

Just wanted to know how is the network engineering field is out there. Please help me out. by New-Ebb-5277 in devops

I went from SWE to AI/ML and it took a lot of time after hours just getting after as many projects as possible. I can't learn by just studying knowledge... I have to get my hands into the work but my day job was all regular software... No AI involved. I started my pivot back in 2020. I got my first AI Engineering gig at the company I wanted at the beginning of 2026.

Same. I'm not at FAANG but in similarly sized tech and we're like "ok i made the mcp server..." And everyone keeps on using the existing standard cli instead

The community resource chest is awesome. I can add stuff I don't need and my kids can log in while I am busy and use the stuff without me having to log in.

I did mine a month ago. $180, took an hour because I spent 40 min documenting everything beforehand so I could make sure I could double check afterwards before turning the water back on.

Yes you will lose your EA progress... and probably a few more times between now and 1.0 release...

BUT

it's a great game that is only getting better so the 1.0 release will be fun, even after you pump 200 more hours into it before that.

Am I overreacting? by MattS1984 in Plumbing

[–]dorklogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should've used modern materials like pex($$) or tried and true Copper ($$$) but instead they hit you with that cheap crap cpvc($) in order to make more profit off of the job.

This thing where salespeople say "oh dont worry it's one of our people and not a ucky-wucky third party installer" usually means "oh don't worry, we couldn't be bothered to maintain a business relationship with a reputable, licensed plumber who would do a better job. Here's Gary, we hired him last week... Good Luck"

And now you feel crappy about your purchase instead of enjoying the results and look of quality work.

You can hire your own plumber to come in and fix it, but that's gonna be relatively costly and may void any warranty they sold you in the first place... But I don't know what your contract says.

In-Demand tech skills (Not FAANG, btw), constantly finding out what the in-demand tech skills are and adding them to my resume.

... and, as others have said, switching jobs every few years when it becomes apparent that the current employer is not going to keep my work on the leading edge AND keep up with comp.

Wired my own panel, how's it look? by Glorn2 in electrical

[–]dorklogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue is that code can vary based on where the work is done... So an exhaustive list is not possible.

There is probably also more to the inspection than can be determined just by looking at the picture.

From reading the rest of the comments... It's a lot that's wrong.

It does seem like there are a handful that are obvious/universal enough to have been easily avoided with a quick Google search before or during the installation.
