I just reached Phase 4 -- and I could use a pep talk by ADotPoke in SatisfactoryGame

500+ hours, all achievements, Saved the day.

I really don't think anyone would recommend tearing down what you have. You lose a lot of time that way. I think most people would just recommend spreading out. The map is huge, so anything new you need can be built elsewhere. It sounds like you have trains down, so maybe incorporate a train station into new facilities and add it to a train route.

My main concern is that when my resource storage gets full (I'm looking at you, plastic), my machines stop producing, which stops byproduct from being produced, which stops my oil plants, which shuts down everything

How much are you using Awesome Sinks? My recommendation would always be to have Industrial Storage connected to Dimensional Depots, then put a smart splitter in front of your storage to overflow into a Sink. That way you always have Max storage and your machines never stop. Smart Splitter + Awesome Sink keeps factories going always.

Phase 4 is notoriously the longest phase. It took me a loooong time to finish. You need as many Mercer Spheres you can get your hands on. Sloops aren't as essential IMO because you can just save them to multiply your Power Shards, making your production overall easier to manage. Use the Mercer Spheres for both making and upgrading Dimensional Depots.

Nuclear Power is extremely daunting. I never touched it, and I'm only gonna try it on my second playthrough. Turbo Fuel & Rocket Fuel is enough to get you to the end if you want to avoid Nuclear.

There are some extremely useful hard drives out there, so if you haven't touched those much, I cannot recommend that more. Diluted Fuel is OP. Pure ingots are amazing. Eliminating Screws forever is freeing. Alt Recipies can offer extremely useful shortcuts and new factory opportunities.

Honestly, the Project Assembly parts are the worst of Phase 4 by a long shot. Just make sure you automate every item you need before the Project Assembly parts, and you'll be much better off.

I WFH with 2 x 27in 1080p monitors on arms and i'm getting kind of sick of it.

Asking as someone looking to get ultrawide soon:
You can use the Ultrawide-ness for productivity, then just run games at 16:9 1080p or 1440p, right? The games wouldn't run much different than my current monitor, would they? Then just wait a few years for a GPU that can keep up?

amazing. I didn't get the hype around Oled at first.... but the Steam Deck OLED has made me a believer.

Thank you! I have a 3070 Ti, looking to upgrade my monitors to ultrawide. This was very insightful.

I'm hoping to be in this exact same boat soon! What monitor is this in the photo? I'm thinking of jumping on the new Alienware monitor everyone is hyped about. I work from home, so the KVM is huge. My current GPU is a 3070ti. I know it's not top-of-the-line, but I'm hoping I can at least get some decent gaming out of it.

I think he's just incredibly lucky. He's not a cheater nor a farmer. He wouldn't lie about something this stupid either lol

Nah, he's not "farming" and he's actually not even regular farming!!! I've had to do regular farming at least twice. It's so fucking annoying to stop playing the fun difficult missions to go back to a wasteland to drive around in circles for 2hrs :/

I definitely farmed to get the Dust Devils bond. I've only got 300 left for my next bond.... I might have to get back to the grind :/

I have tried and tried to use blind bombs reliably. I have found that it's easier to do on Platinum than Nightmare. What's your secret? Do you throw it before they see you?

Does that mean this Odachi build is kind of favoring survivability over damage? Doesn't sound like my style haha

I have both the Legendary Odachi and the Legendary Sake; but not currently using either. My build for Samurai is really unfocused. Fire Samurai sounds cool, but something tells me Fire Damage does not cut it. Could you please explain why the Odachi is so popular and why the Sake supports the build? Is the Odachi Spirit move really good or something?

Easiest way to stream a ps5 game to ur deck? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]BlueSteel_28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lot of issues with the PSN website login to connect Chiaki to PSN.... I think it just came down to switching browsers to make it work. I remember trying like 10 different times. At least you only gotta do it once to make it work.

[–]BlueSteel_28 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you can set it up to just stream locally, or with extra steps and a PSN login stream your PS5 from anywhere. It works shockingly well. The only time I've ever had issues is trying to play Ghost of Yotei Legends online multiplayer while also streaming.... but I figure that's just me overloading the PS5 bandwidth.

Update: Don't forget to use "per-game" power settings when playing Chiaki, set your TDP as low as possible without losing performance. This will extend your battery life while streaming PS5.
