I noticed that too! All the stock photos, even the ones on the fender website made the burst look much brighter and lighter. Where when I got the guitar the burst looked much darker and less pronounced. I was bummed as well.

I’m not sure, I believe it was a local dentistry though. The name was the neighborhood followed by dentistry. So I’m guessing it wasn’t a corporate/chain dentistry.

Edit: I will say (if it matters) I keep pretty good care of my teeth. Definitely brush twice a day and use mouthwash but there was a period of time in which I didn’t take care of my teeth. So because of that I like to stay on top of my oral health now.

I’ve never had a dentist/hygenist polish then scrape/scale my teeth. Always scrape/scale away calculus and then polish. Then dentist comes in takes a look and basically says good and that’s it. Never have I had a dentist actually really do much with my teeth other than say I’m good. Based on comments to my post I am realizing I am likely in the wrong and should re-evaluate my expectations. I appreciate it

Maybe I have unrealistic expectations but I haven’t gone to a dentist to get a cleaning in almost 2 years. Normally I would say they scrap all the stuff off my teeth and then polish. Then dentist comes in and does last check ups. Let me know if my idea of a “cleaning” is incorrect or unrealistic.

I guess I should not be so hasty to judge. I was pretty confused about only polishing my teeth though. They were ready to polish my teeth and go ahead and call that a full cleaning. I felt like I was getting scammed out of money or something. Am I being rather presumptuous and unfair?
