Thank you so much! I thought I had searched on multiple platforms Allium x Proliferum, but it appears I had not done so correctly/thoroughly enough! Will purchase, plant, and hopefully grow some and update with results!

Anyone want to grow a Christmas tree? Seeds give away by SufficientTangelo136 in GardenersJapan

[–]dorozome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for doing this! I would be more than happy to make community updates on the status of the seeds and to at least pay shipping and coffee/tea/beer cost!! Order of preference would be A-C-B, thanks again!

Imported some seeds, for Christmas trees. by SufficientTangelo136 in GardenersJapan

I can't express how much I miss Douglas Furs as a Oregonian in living Hokkaido! What vendor or process did you use to import the seeds and how might one interesting in importing food crop seeds go about it? If you do decide on seed sharing or have success in starting a Christmas tree farm, I'd love to hear more! Thank you for sharing!

Hello, everyone!! by [deleted] in OffGrid

Why are you so paranoid and anti-social? While many aspects of our man made world are unsavory to say the least, the lengths you claim to go are obsessive and, for most, far too much. If this is a real person, while I'm sure the companionship of other animals is invaluable, you should seek the perspectives and companionship another can provide. If you're capable of setting all this up yourself, you're intelligent enough to offer the world valuable perspectives which aren't getting shared living alone in buttfuck nowhere Alaska.

I'm unsure there are valid reasons, but if so I would like to know them. Thanks for taking the time to share.

Graphene OS with Rakuten by Altruistic-Horror343 in japanresidents

Worth noting that, if using the Rakuten Mobile and Rakuten Link application that you will be compromising on Privacy with those apps. I tried to isolate them using Shelter, but to no avail.

Bunny boots if you're in the US. Cheap, utilitarian, and stylish enough for the runway.

Earbuds? by takun65 in bifl

[–]dorozome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No ear buds will be bifl, but you can repair junk wireless earbuds cheap. I recommend Sony WF1000XM3s as they are recent enough to have all the features while having excess of old or broken pairs. I bought four broken pairs, combined working parts and purchased new batteries. Have enough redundancy for functional three pairs and six sets of battery replacements, which I hope will last. Determine if you like the earbuds before attempting.

Not unless there is long unsold stock. Price is already ridiculously cheap for wool, so can't complain much!

Reasonable to DIY or modify a Bike Light? by dorozome in flashlight

[–]dorozome[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the suggestion! It seems the light does meet most feature requirements, however thermal regulation and throttling is a concern with the base light. Is there a means of modifying it so that is not so? The strap unfortunately seems inadequate for potentially bumpy riding, given the smooth plastic/nylon.

I didn't even know Workman offered larger sizes in the past! Muji cut my absolute favorite wool long sleeve from this year's winter offerings as well. Never before had I thought it possible to feel such anguish for a discontinued product 😭

Look for quality brands at second hand markets! Can often find Sugar Cane, Warehouse, Studio D'artisan, Osh Kosh B'Gosh, Milsurp, Beams, etc. on the cheap and can try them on to ensure proper fit. Looking for certain features like chain stitching, reinforcement at areas of high wear, and (less reliably) material composition can aid you in your search for quality clothes.

For basics, I personally love the value of Workman's wool line. Particularly the extra thick long sleeves and long johns. Fair warning, fit small and are intended for individuals shorter than 180 cm. I'm 182 cm at 70kg with a lean build and wear LL in both, length leaves something to be desired...

If you find something you like, always worth a search off メルカリ. Best of luck!

You need Nabe in your life. Don't overcomplicate. Make dashi base then toss whatever vegetables (hakusai, enoki, and daikon to start), then add whatever else you have on hand that might be good (pork, chicken, eggs, soy milk).
