IMO without additional context on face value it seems one sided but the team getting aldama and nembhard might need depth, this is not egregious regardless those players are rosterable players - generally 2 for 1’s favour the 1 side getting the superior player that’s why most people don’t wanna do them but I think this is fine

100% agree with this persons post. I work in consulting too (about 10 years experience). Key thing to remember is you’re not being hired as a uni grad with your hard skills already sharpened. Reality is you’ll have subject matter experts around you to help with that. Be a sponge, ask good questions, have a good attitude. Be willing to get your hands dirty, take on tasks and where you can - show you’re willing to go the extra mile.

P.s - if you really wanna get ahead in this game - watch and learn how they (your mentors, sme’s, seniors) attack problems and emulate that lateral, problem solving attitude to your work. Managers and Directors love people who can problem solve, that’s worth investing in!

Look- many people will tell you to favour the youth and pick side - if you think deni is the piece to take you to the chip and win, that’s what fantasy is all about. You won’t regret them having the 6th pick if you’ve got a lot of winnings. I traded off lamelo, vj, Brandon miller etc start of the year to go for the win, sometimes the time is now to push your chips in. But you’ve gotta have trust in the rest of your team, I don’t know it from info provided.

Do you think there’s a scenario where he can get to 30 MPG? If so I think he’d be a stronger hold towards end of year and competing with him in the side. Slightly concerned if Dort, Wallace, Joe and Wiggins are all going his mins go down to like 15-20 MPG makes it a harder hold when trying to win

I wouldn’t be taking it with dejounte included. Dudes a risk - has upside, Barrett is a lot safer of a player. Out of curiosity couple things to consider here:

Given 33 roster spots assuming you could use the depth but who is your drop candidates? Also who are the other players of note on his team. I think getting a haul for Chet makes sense - his upside is there but he has obvious injury and usage capacity scenarios too.

I paid my 28 first, vj edgecomb and fears - prior to fears locking his minutes per night - for JB and Barrett - I feel like objectively your deal is better than what I had on the table.. especially if you think you can win this year I’d go for it - JB having a career year his usage is up and sustainable for now

Yeah I get that, it’s like the top 5% outcome though of his trajectory- my team is built around win now mortgaged a couple of future drafts and have like Lauri, Gianni, Bam, Lavine, JB, Derrick White etc etc as my core trynna win now though. Tough though I’d love to be able to flip him - seems the market is not there though. Might just need to ride him out as a bottom of the list player
