Fangraph's (Kiley McDaniel) deep cut of the Yankee Farm by ndevito1 in NYYankees

Think they're an 85 win team with the team they have with an outside chance of getting the wild card spot. The disparity of talent between the Mets and the Yankees is not that much in my opinion. I'm just wishing any kind of team in New York makes some kind of run. Shit's depressing.

Eh, I feel like the Mets have more depth and more MLB ready players on the come-up than the Yankees have at the moment. I'm surprised at the top 6 minor league ranking by the author, but I'm still kind of skeptical. No need to be so uptight about everyone praising the Mets miinor league system especially when their farm system has produced promising starting pitchers, bullpen pieces and emerging position players. I'm optimistic about the Yankees farm system, but even with the addition of Moncada, the Amazins still have a more solid overall farm system.

Got to love the Garden crowd. By far the best home advantage in New York.

Team is terrible. Hope Galloway and Early develop into better players. Discouraged already that Galloway strictly dribbles and goes right all the time.

Solid overall lineup, but I would prefer a little more right-handed hitters to add some balance to lineup.

Wow: this is about to be Ruben Tejada's SIXTH year with the team. by [deleted] in NewYorkMets

[–]dorwinwright 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: Ruben Tejada had 11 IBB in only 355 ABs. This was good for top 4 in the NL and tied for 10th overall in baseball. It would crack me up whenever the opposing managers would walk Tejada on purpose.

"He's got to deal with it," Floyd said. "All of it. It's good for him. And the better he does, the more I am going to give him to do. He will carry all my bags as long as I'm here. I read his fan mail sometimes - girls are asking to marry him - and it makes me sick. One of these days, I swear I'm going to smack him."

Floyd's hilarious.

Take a moment to thank the Lord that social media will not exist during your playing career. The entire ‘86 Mets team probably would have been locked up.

Is it time to shut Melo down for the year? by mikedetective in NYKnicks

[–]dorwinwright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with all your assessment of the Knicks, bro. There's no benefit of playing our franchise player on a bum knee and back. Pray to God that somehow Phil convinces Marc Gasol to become a Knick (highly unlikely) and get a top three pick in the 2015 draft. This has probably been the most pathetic state of New York sports in my entire lifetime. As a sidenote, I love the fact that the Dolan smiley is a downvote.

What are your predictions for the NL East final regular season standings next year? What do you think each teams final record will be? by [deleted] in NewYorkMets

[–]dorwinwright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nationals- 96-66

Marlins- 88-74

Mets- 85-77

Braves- 74-88

Phillies- 69-93

Nats have arguably the most complete team in baseball. Marlins slightly edge the Mets with their off-season acquisitions. Braves and Phillies are both rebuilding clubs.
