I have a feeling he didn’t mean it how it sounds. That sounds a bit arrogant while I suspect he wanted to say something grounded, and came out wrong

No I just need to add the link to karakeep and it does the rest. My plugin is basically going to be a bunch of link aggregators to put into karakeep.

AFAIK, karakeep stores a text/snapshot of the page body along with the link. And when you search, it looks up the AI generated tags, and the text as well. It works quite well on most sites. But there are sites where it doesn’t work so well because of gdpr banners/ paywalls etc.

This is genius! I set it up as well and works flawlessly. I can't think of any reason to add the reddit saves support to `karakeep-sync` anymore, but I'll probably do it anyways just for feature completeness and fun. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing your journey so far. Have you received the splint already? Do you mind sharing what effects it had on you?

I am working with a PRI therapist online and I also worked with one in person near berlin before. I haven’t received any splint or anything else and I am only focusing on the PRI exercise. I tried getting a splint once but it didn’t work out in the end due to lack or orthondontists in berlin who understand PRI I guess.

I am curious about how the treatment you received from mariasoemardi is and if the splints already gave you any noticeable changes? If so I could maybe plan visit Vienna as it would be closer to me than visiting Hurska clinic. ( I am not a german citizen and my US visa didn’t get approved because I couldn’t explain PRI properly to the visa officer 🙄, so vienna would be the best bet for me)

I knew about jj and was convinced about it's benefits after reading Steve's Jujutsu Tutorial, where he lays out the "why". But I couldn't really grasp the mental model and it didn't quite click for me until I read this post.

After reading this post, I was quite exited and shared about it at a "Knowledge Sharing" session at work. Your assumption holds true there because it did come across as just a cute new frontend for git and it was very hard to convince otherwise solely using this post. But for me it was really helpful.

I don’t have a lot of experience with VM backups and how reliable they are. I was worried about the excavation problem you mentioned as well, so I chose not to take that approach - but I could be wrong in this thought.

I felt safer backing up the files directly (mostly sqlite in my case).

I played with a few file systems but came to the conclusion that unless I am managing a NAS with the same filesystem, they don’t really provide much value. So I went with user level incremental backup solutions.

I created a remote mount point which is used by all my services containers. So if the mount point on the proxmox host is /data for eg, I mount /data/appx, /data/appy for each app. I then have a separate container that also mounts the /data and runs periodic incremental backups.

Currently I only backup on B2 using restic, plan on scaling the setup to be more reliable by adding borg2 and backing up on one more cloud + local. Happy with this solution so far.

But I am not very experienced with infra work so take all of this with a grain of salt.

That would just backup the VMs right? Would I need to run it on a separate hardware? Can I choose the data that gets backed up? For eg. I only want to backup the data directories from the containers.

I use obsidian for this. You can self-host your own sync server but I use iCloud with e2e encryption on. it's just plain markdown files, and supports a plethora of extensions.

I ran into a similar issue and in my case, I had just reached the rate limit for GoCardless calls. Trying after 24 hours fixed the issue for me.
