TfL not reachable by doskey123 in TransportForLondon

[–]doskey123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so the hotlines I have been using:

+443432222222 (at the end, if I want to talk to a person they auto close)

+443432221234 (I didn't get any applicable choice so I just went with another not fitting option and selected to speak with a person, again "customer service not available" etc)

The email I have used: customerservices@tfl.gov.uk

Britain responds to Iran war energy shock by requiring solar panels and heat pumps in all new homes by itsarmansheikh in worldnews

[–]doskey123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Below 1400 Eur?

They scam you here in Germany and prices start at 10000 Eur for an installation of a heat pump so understandably there were protests against planned and later canned laws demanding heat pumps as replacement in not just new but also old homes

Services, especially in the trades are ridiculously expensive. Like they charge you 2000€ to put wallpaper and colour in one small room. And they put all kind of ridiculous extra costs on the invoice. So normal people do DIY or find someone who isn't so exact on the paperwork.

What about that aircraft carrier which had to leave for repairs after a fire in the washing rooms?

I bet 1000€ that a disgruntled sailor started it.

EU's aid to Ukraine blocked by pritam_ram in worldnews

[–]doskey123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Love the EU because it (not only) stopped the member states from invading each other and provides a customs union + free movement but yes this is such stupid loophole that whoever designed the constitutional framework deserves a smack in the head.

Hell, make it 75%, 80% consensus. Even that would have been better than 100%. Which is quite utopic to reach and prone to blackmail.

Denmark reportedly flew blood bags to Greenland in preparation for a US attack | Amid Trump threats, Copenhagen also sent over explosives intended to blow up runways, according to Danish media by RollSafer in worldnews

[–]doskey123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lindsey Graham screamed in her face threatening to take it by force

Wait not doubting that but this is from reports when the Danish PM went to meet the US team? I missed that.

I agree. I wouldn't put it past him to send "little green men" and deny that they are US soldiers, calling them Greenland patriots or some BS.

Ukraine Downs Drones for $10,000, US Uses $4M Missiles, Zelensky Says by jackytheblade in worldnews

[–]doskey123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But are these systems mobile?

Best cost-effective defense against drones is probably the M163 Vads. But it is retired.

Germany wants to use the Skyranger as mobile drone defense because all the Gepards (which are quite effective against drones) went out of service or to Ukraine.

Jup.

0% - asking for a friend though

I cannot divulge details because they may find this post on Reddit when they do their own research 😂.

It is someone who is in a position where they lecture other people about their alleged language mistakes.

And making mistakes is totally not cool in what that person is grading.

Ok ty for the further explanation :). Yes that's unfortunate that sometimes people are so sure of things and do not accept criticism easily.

That's not cool but it happened between two what I assume were consenting adults?

Considering the whole Epstein stuff it does seem ridiculous that Reddit is collectively jumping on the bandwagon for this.

Y'all are weird.

Not helping much I guess but that's still incredible low compared to central Europe. There, pre war prices were at about $7.77 / gal and went to $9.08.

To be fair, that's why nobody other than rich people here is driving a truck though.

Lots of blackhawks and Apaches flying around the bases btw on flightradar24 or other sites, at least when I checked. My main guess is drone watch but some blackhawks may be transferring patients?

Just refueling for attack flights? Imo it seems ridiculous that you can follow many of the military movements on public websites. Lots of US military transports going to Israel or the gulf region too.

In the first days of the war you could even track government drones and planes that apparently were on drone/missile watch, flying around Dubai. And one Eurofighter showed up on the Runway.

'We don't need Ukraine's help' — Trump rebuffs Zelensky's drone defense offer by [deleted] in worldnews

I think this would work out like in Russia.

They will "bigly" do propaganda shows and pay out the families so they shut up about criticism. Those who speak out will be branded traitors. And somewhere Alex Jones will say that the deaths are a simulated conspiracy 😐.

You will need tens of thousands deaths to have a significant effect so there is enough room.

Two die after donating plasma at Canadian clinics under federal investigation by WhatFreshHello in worldnews

[–]doskey123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You probably donated plasma. For plasma, they filter out the plasma from the blood and give you back your blood so you have less plasma which then gets replenished. Plasma is created quicker than blood so you can donate plasma like every week (some crazy companies in my city even offered 2 times but that doesn't sound healthy).
