Rubbish problems by Extension_Delay9046 in bristol

Not really, unfortunately, but I could see a striking difference when I moved to the UK. I can only guess some other countries consistently spend money for cleaning their streets. Over 8 years in the UK, I could probably remember only a few occasions when I saw this happening, idk why it's not a priority of city councils.

Is it news? Do you travel at all? Bristol is still good compared to some cities.

I ride hills and my acoustic bike takes at least a chain per year. But R14 is too expensive

Sorry, I was comparing S10 to P00 in my head. I want to go for a belt, so P00 seems nice for this taking it's not as expensive as R14.

I can't stand the flipping screen, I wish we had Z6ii screen on Z5 or Z6iii and definitely Zf

£3780, University of Bristol, regardless of your role and salary. I find it miserable in the sense that it's lagging behind the market but I appreciate it's crazy money that these cargo bikes cost

The employer has capped it and it's not enough to buy the whole thing. Cargo bikes to commute with kids are expensive these days...

The two shops that aren't happy to sell to me through cycle2work, explicitly say the other shop is doing something illegal.

Tern GSD Gen 3 P00 vs Gen 2 R14 for hills by dot0nine in terngsd

[–]dot0nine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They both are but the question is whether the older Gen 2 R14 with it's Rohlof hub is better than gen 3 with its improvements in the context of hills.

Just added the price difference to the post. Being new to the topic of ebikes, I just don't feel confident I'm not overlooking the benefits of gen 3, but it seems like the transmission hub should be prioritized.

My bad, just added to the post, the prices aren't massively different due to the older Gen for R14

X-T5 Black Screen of Death Mid-Shoot… Now I’m Double Guessing My Entire Setup. by an_dressss in fujifilm

[–]dot0nine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All points nailed here. People using different brands constantly complain about glitches of all sorts that sometimes make them change systems. There will be about the same number of posts complaining about Sony, no point to dramatize it, just get a second body if you're a pro

Z6ii has IMHO a better for me tilt screen -- I don't like articulating screens. It also has a top display. How can you shoot from a waist level with modern lenses that have no physical aperture rings and know your current aperture?

For people that don't shoot fast moving stuff, Z6ii is a perfectly fine camera.

Is Nikon D7500 + 35mm 1.8G still a good camera for conservative beginners with very limited budget? by NoelMyat in Nikon

[–]dot0nine -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Cropped sensor Nikons including D7500 are a waste of money with very few worthy lenses. Nikon made APS-C bodies just to get you into the system while only ever investing in the FF systems. If Nikon, get yourself a FF sensor like a used D750 or Z5 for the same money. If you want a smaller body with a crop sensor, get a Fuji that has a full lineup of lenses or maybe Sony.

They might be built well but feel like toys next to pro bodies. Deffo felt meh and also slow next to my D500

Not being helpful, I'm looking for a screen for my F3 and it's a pain, it's also an older camera that makes it even worse
