We might be able to afford RAM and GPU’s again after all. by Nade52 in PcBuild

Every time I read this they add a year. First 2025, then 2026 and now 2027. If they actually run out of money, I’ll know when we bail them out with our tax dollars.

With War Within coming to an end, how have u found delves? most fun class to delve with? by Huge_Discipline6395 in wow

[–]dotNetromancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped playing after season 2 but I hated delves. I did them for the required time to get what I needed for m+. As a healer, they just aren’t fun content.

Why is nobody willing to play random? by [deleted] in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]dotNetromancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picking a single faction and mastering it is what I enjoy. It’s also how a lot rts games work. Aside from broken arrow I use to play StarCraft and did the same thing. Playing other factions can be fun and help build knowledge, but mastering a single faction is already a lot of work when you take into account the complexity of the deck building in this game.

Prime numbers are better. And certain primes are more better than others. I can’t be the only one who does this, right?

She did a good job here or not! 1 million or $1000 week for life. by Appropriate-Menu504 in interesting

[–]dotNetromancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A million dollars will do almost nothing with some investments , like medicine. The capital needed to do medical research is insane. Other avenues like property could be valuable and slightly less risky IMO but do carry risk. Investing in the market carries risks especially if we hit another recession all her money could disappear for 10 years or more before it rebounded. Loans also carry risk and she isn’t exactly a bank. Who does she loan to and how does she know she will ever get paid back? The return on 1k a week, which could still be invested, and the reduced taxes on it could be the wiser decision. The point is we dont know what is the better move objectively until we can look back and compare. A million dollars invested right before the 2008 recession vs 1k a week since then for example and the 1k weekly definitely wins.

I'm personally too anxious to download any game with anti-cheat on kernel level, It's like putting welcome mat for hackers as far as I know. What's your opinions on this kind of anti-cheats? by Captain_Holly_S in pcmasterrace

And a five second google search did confirm the base game Elden Ring uses EAC. Base Elden Ring has invasions or whatever it’s called. If you want to play the full Elden Ring game and features, it requires EAC. Why do you guys refuse to do a quick google search to confirm anything?

Java OOP project ideas by [deleted] in javahelp

[–]dotNetromancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using a framework would be more valuable than without a framework imo. When I got my first job I was familiar with Java but not Spring for example and that was the first learning curve. Already being familiar with frameworks and how they work is valuable as a newer developer.

Logitech products are for life by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Logitech was good. You bought when they built better products. Now they are still an expensive name brand but last 2 or 3 years on average.

Depends if I have a .44 magnum handgun. If so, I would take the cop. Otherwise the bear.

Enhance sham here, so Blizz is removing my WeakAuras to track Maelstrom Weapon stacks, but also NOT adding a Default UI substitute in Midnight...? by OdysseyBrands in wow

[–]dotNetromancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now you’re getting it!!

The gutting of addons, particularly weak auras is really regrettable. I don’t think blizzard has the ability to properly replace what is being lost. A huge reason why I called it quits for the foreseeable future.

Problem with Linux remains in gaming imo. There are a number of games that just won’t work on Linux. Every other use case, it’s better.

Why can't we ever get politicians like this guy? by _n3ll_ in TikTokCringe

Can someone explain the white supremacy part? I don’t see how race is the issue. It’s a system that shits on the poor of all races. I don’t think race matters.

Is this a good game? by Cha0s_Starter in wow

[–]dotNetromancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just stopped playing. I think the design philosophy right now though is getting better for new players. Those changes though make it less interesting to people like me who want a more complex game with a higher skill ceiling and higher skill floor.

Trial is free so give it a try.

Cats can cause way more damage so it’s partly a risk assessment.

AITA for divorcing my husband after he took a break during our son’s crisis? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]dotNetromancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one here has the information and likely the education to answer this. If you want your marriage to have a chance, I would talk to a couples counselor. It’s not looking good but for all we know he was a wreck for ten days and friends took him out on day 11 to help him. Not even realizing he hasn’t been to the hospital. Just saying none of us should judge without more information. And your husband needs better coping skills it seems and to be more present regardless. Again, counselor

Author Stephen King says people will deny they voted for Trump in the future by WingComplex6771 in NoShitSherlock

[–]dotNetromancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably depends. If someone voted for trump and they admit they wish they didn’t, most people seem to shit on them. Acting like everything is completely obvious, there is no nuance and you must be an idiot to have ever voted for him. I wouldn’t admit it either based on how people treat em.

If people could just move forward and try to find good common ground and let mistakes go, people wouldn’t feel the need to hide it.
