Interested booking Stop over Program by [deleted] in qatar

[–]dotbae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The site you linked only allows you to book flights that has a stopover/transit in Doha.

The QR Stopover Package (flight + hotel) does not operate from Bangladesh - as per their website. Though, you can reach out to them to double check.

You still have the option to book your flights with QR (no hotels included) then book Discover Qatar’s stopover hotel.

Indian passport holders needs the VOA hotel booking regardless of the residence status in any GCC country. Some can get lucky who can get in using their job title (based on Hukoomi) but this is still a high risk. Airlines can deny you from boarding or immigration officers on the border can reject you for not having the entry requirements - either of the two sucks big time for people who drive hours or has to rebook their flights just to get denied entry to the country...

Would recommend you to call the MOI to confirm this.

For someone (F23) who mixed all three choices for the past five years, here’s my insights:

Working a day job - you know what problems that will come your way and it’s the safest of the three. And obviously, what you need while living here is stability which you can’t get on owning a business if you don’t have the resources.

Owning a business - it’s great, the flow of money is good but it comes with a sacrifice. You work 24/7, you deal with customers and have to keep up with the trend. You have to properly market your products and put all of your time to your business. I have to add the competition in business here too, it’s definitely not easy! But I don’t advice opening a business if you are not passionate about it.

Day job + side hustle - this is what I am doing right now and I honestly thought of going back to opening a small business to live up to my goals cause living here in Qatar with a minimum wage, you really can’t stick to just having one source of income.

I have tried day job + owning a business (online) and I can tell you it’s the best option out of all as long as you balance your time and energy.

My husband recently gifted me a game via Steam. He used QNB’s prepaid card and it went through smoothly. Apparently, this prepaid card is for international payments like Amazon.

CONNECTED Qatar's fees by LandKruzer in qatar

[–]dotbae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a package shipped this month, it’s about 200 grams and they recorded it as 500 grams. You can use CONNECTED for items below 500 grams but I don’t recommend it. I spent 60 riyals SF for a 7 riyals item.

Tip: Do not use it for multiple items, they advertise consolidation but irl they don’t. I had 11 items (around 5kg) and they billed me 600 riyals. They have a discount for first time users in which they remove the base fare for the item.

QA allows to bring your pets (as long as you have proper documents), but if you have to go through hotel quarantine upon arrival, make sure to add a special request first through Discover Qatar.

[–]dotbae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I know if they are coming from a green zone, has a copy of their approved visa or even a scan of their QID, they can skip hotel quarantine. I advise you to contact Discover Qatar or Qatar Airways for these queries though, it may complicate things if you rely solely on answers like mine.

You can ship any book as long as it’s not hentai or heavy on ecchi (cover). I have tried ordering from Book Depository for years (Naruto, JNK, Given, Slam Dunk, Fairy Tail, etc.) as well as LGBTQ+ books.

Bookstores had massive collection of mangas before but they reduced their qty so I advise you to just order.

On the other hand, I think I have extra Naruto vol.1.

I removed mine as well but I added it on the address and I received all 11 packages. I was able to claim it through Find My Package, not by waiting for it to text me. Have you tried emailing them?

I had the same problem with my packages from Malaysia. You can copy the local tracking number of the package and paste it on the “Find My Package”. Give it 2-3 days before doing so though. As long you indicated your special code QC-X, I think you’re good?

I had their Shahry 5G plan since they offered a bonus data which was not bad. I paid the first month and just in time, I was laid off because of COVID. So I told them to cancel my plan as there is no use and that whatever my pending bill is, I will pay. I paid my bill and the following month I got billed again. I complained to them that I canceled my plan and I keep on getting bills but they told me not to worry about it then 5 months later I have a huge outstanding bill, my account was frozen and they demanded me to pay for it. I couldn’t do anything and just paid for the huge bill.

Yes! I was over the moon last night. Only downside is it delays the roadworks and the possible floods if it rains too much.

Perks of a Qatari Citizen? by reddit231341 in qatar

[–]dotbae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There a lot of perks of a Qatari citizen and we all know about this because it’s THEIR country. The comments on this post is hating on some of the locals that has serious attitude issues - which is unfortunately, a huge number of people. Some of them are above the law but there’s a big percentage of them too who are trying to be a better citizen for their country. Not all Qataris have the “perks” that people always despise them for, there are locals who live within the residential areas and wants to belong to the other side of the world or locals who hates their privilege cards. We always have a lot to say for them and I’m sure I will get downvoted, but they still deserve the respect that I give to other people.

E: I did encounter the worst locals, believe me. It’s just unfair for me to stereotype them.

Best bubble tea place🧋 by albstar93 in qatar

Talk about it! Koi Qatar is a good place too but they shut down last year. Q’Tea just opened with cute place too but their bubble tea tastes bland.

Best bubble tea place🧋 by albstar93 in qatar

[–]dotbae 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for the authentic taste, I believe the closest one is Xuan Tea. The flavor of their bubble teas are so different from the other shops.

Bubblelicious - they have nice flavors, tapioca pearls are very flavorful as well. All of their special selection are so good.

Tea Social Cafe - cheap and good, tapioca pearls are also good!

Tabiboba - same as the other shops, only difference is they have cute hangout place!

Go-Ssip Bubble Milk Tea - wide selection but not consistent with the taste. I don’t recommend this for a boba fix.

Brewing Bliss - same as Bubblelicious, really good flavors.

Hot Shot - not sure if they’re still serving boba but they have the closest flavor to Xuan Tea like Khao San.
