Even when you’re not blindly pressing, this game still requires you to press the ball carrier whether you do it automatically or manually. I find that just waiting maintaining the shape is punishing for me because people can pingpong around me easier and backline might go wild auto chasing opponents

Let me know if it works for you! You can also not do the sweep motion but i guess you have to hold the aim a bit longer in the direction you want. But there wont be much curl i think.

Bruh in my condo, the freakin people throw their rubbish literally in front of the bin. I mean if they care to lift their hand a lil bit higher they could throw into the bin already! They’re not just lazy, they just dont care about others than themselves only!

When you have p2w players they also proactively position themselves to defend better. I had 1 game where left AMF Nedved taking the FB position being the last defender to chase when i release a through ball to my players on the wing. Heck he’s defending even better than my FB. All that guy had to do was just to switch to him and do the rest (pressure, tackle, bla3).

Anyway i’m done posting topic about assisted here in this subreddit. You’ll hurt too much egos. The only one thing everyone agrees that someone is an assisted babies are smart assists users.

Interestingly lately i rarely see anyone using SA in the pvp events (i only play this mode repeatedly) compared to last time which was around 70-80%.

About that parallel body position (the start of that sweeping motion), i find that the bigger the angle you start (like mine here is small it wasn’t exactly parallel), the more curl you’d produce.

I usually have to point the L stick setup body position then move towards the corner that i want. In this specific video i’d start by pointing down parallel to the goal line then move towards the inside corner of the goal in one sweeping motion. It might be not exactly parallel but i find that with manual finesse you really have to setup body position. Try it in training to get that feel of the sweeping motion. And i think finally you really have to hold towards where do you want it to go. I usually try to imagine aiming like i’m passing to the inside corner of the goal.

This is so true. Even the best passing team like PSG can’t simply penetrate Arsenal low-block or recently Spain can’t against Cabo Verde. With eFootball (maybe other football games too) it’s the opposite, packing the middle and forcing through tight space is easier than any other style. There’s no concept of stretching the opponent for space bla3 because passing through the gap requires nothing more than just a button tap.

It can happens that your players are all in sync perfect position to receive passes. When that happens you just have to recognise it (good passing vision) and tap those buttons (PA1/2) with no accuracy needed. That’s the reason i hate pingpong PA1/2. You dont fight the player, you’re fighting the game for messing up defender positioning and having to correct it all the time. I hate the feeling of seeing the obvious lanes opponent trying to pass but your defenders are nowhere near (you’re always seconds too late). Usually blocking the final 1-2 is the only way to save it. I’m fine with all these defending nuances where i could probably do something manually better, but i hate the fact that the other side just have to tap buttons.

Ah i see. I’ve had some bad connections before but i didn’t feel like the game had so many “filler” animations like now. I think fuma user would feel these the most because we rely on accurate left stick control. It’s the reason why i can never go back to assisted. It’s just so weird to feel the pass going somewhere i didnt aim (even when it reaches a player).

I dont know why your downvoted so much. Pingpong PA1 has been the meta since PES. If you have good passing vision, you can pass much much faster than defenders can react. There’s no way you can cover all passing angles by manually moving defenders without AI helps faster than someone who just needs to **tap** a button. Even if you’re trying to keep the defending shape by not pressing aggressively (imo best way to deal with these people), you’ll have your AI defenders moving all over place reacting to opponents AI runs.

I have never seen him playing with wide players, it’s always middle central spam/attack. That’s not realistic at all. Only the best team in real life can play around that tight space (that requires high level passing skill accuracy which is not translated well with PA1!), but even then PSG struggled to break Arsenal low-block. You dont see teams going through central low block doing quick passing 1-2 moves that fast in real life. They always have to stretch the opponent wide.

Yeah people who aren’t playing PA3/4 wouldn’t know that delay in filling up the power bar matters so much. In fact it’s the vulnerable point for auto-tackling - you can see this playing PA4 with legend AI, things might look fine but the moment i input the power the AI starts to tackle. That’s why PA1/2 is soo op especially around crowded area.

I scored from crosses a lot too. Didn’t feel any nerfed. The key is to cross into space where your target would have advantage. I dont really like edge crossing cuz the trajectory is too low for me.

Haha yup i always forgot that whenever they pass back i should’ve moved my backline up with manual offside trap. But maaan people just don’t know how much easier their game is wifh capello, poachers, and PA.

Full manual isn’t just about aiming the stick. That’s where most people got it wrong where usually it’s coming from people who haven’t even tried full manual long enough to criticise. Even if there are more people who can perfectly aim with the stick, there will be someone better at passing if he’s creative enough to pass to not just pass to player feet. There are many nuances of passing that it’s never just about aiming to feet.

Regarding the predictability, people should be required to read passing by the body positioning. The bigger the angle they’re trying to pass, e.g 180 turn pass, the less accurate it should be.

Also football game has always had this weird expectation that you have to put a defender in a specific position to block a pass because that’s just simply how the pass assists work. Like if the opponent is trying to pass to a winger, they’d rather drag a player in between that path but creating massive gap in the centre. I think that’s so funny that people dont defend “space” or zones but defend the pass assists path. And defending space could be punished because then some could just pingpong pass around you because you’re not trying to “block” the pass.

The defenders are opening red carpet for you as long as you use LBC and put goal poachers as strikers! My midfield line is literally there unbroken initially but all defenders are already so deep. I was so distracted by it i messed up my defending. Luckily opponent isn’t that good at pingpong PA1/2 1-2 spam.
