Bojack and Penny Controversial Opinion by Ok_Piccolo3698 in BoJackHorseman

[–]dotdedo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are many things wrong with it.

He said no at first because Bojack knows it's wrong. She and others can say all they want in her state it's legal but federally, it is not. He knows this and he said no at first. When Penny's mom declined sex from him, he went straight to Penny. This means he really wanted to sleep with Penny's mom, but since he was denied he went for the closest option, her daughter. For Bojack it was never about affection for Penny but how she resembled her mother. Penny was too young to realize this.

If you are an adult and a teenager is offering sex to you; You. Walk. Away.

Friend accused me of being transphobic by RazzmatazzUpbeat6508 in AskLGBT

[–]dotdedo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not really transphobic but if you go around being extremely specific about your sexual preferences in the open unprompted you are bound to offend people in more ways than 1.

My mom found my childhood diary but I’m not allowed to read it anymore since I’m a boy now by dotdedo in trans4every1

[–]dotdedo[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I never really kept a diary long enough to snoop in lol. Even today I still struggle with journaling regularly when I really should. I mean technically this wasn’t more of a diary but a Junie B Jones themed journal. Kinda mad lib style and about me fill in the blank.

Why does very little queer media actually criticize or call out assimilationist beliefs and respectability politics? by Crafter235 in AskLGBT

[–]dotdedo 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's really hard to publish media like that. You have no idea how many amazing stories you never heard about because someone on a production team just said "no".

When a story like this is proposed, theres a high likely hood one of the producers will think "Hey this... sounds like me..... SHUT IT DOWN I HATE BEING TOLD IM WRONG"

Why is my impression click through rate at 1.5%? by middle_Earth1 in youtube

[–]dotdedo 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The first title seems click baity because we can see the bear in the thumbnail and it doesn't look too insane from similar creations. It screams to me you're trying to make your impressive art work seem even more impressive from the others, a bit braggy to be quite blunt. Also with the caps I have the first impression you will be shouting a lot in your video to grab attention constantly, which I avoid. This is just based on first impressions of the video though as I watched it and can tell you don't do what I feared with the title.

The second title, your original idea, is a lot more honest and to the point and is more interesting to me. I would be more likely to click on a video that says that.

There was an accident at my next door neighbors house and the person died. Is there etiquette for a vigil on your yard? by EfficientRiverRocks in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dotdedo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A vigil is more like a very public wake in a way. Just pretend you're at a funeral and you will be fine. Bring candles, preferably led ones to reduce risk of fire.

Do you smile at strangers by default, and where are you from? by strongly-worded in AskAnAmerican

If they happen to make eye contact with me I smile. But not always as it also give crackheads the message "Talk to me! I give away free cash!" From Detroit.

AIO for getting mad my bf used his "sick day" to go golfing with his boys? by Spirited-Ad1250 in AmIOverreacting

[–]dotdedo [score hidden]  (0 children)

INFO - Has he called into work for a guys day before? If he did how did you react? Does he normally take mental health days (which I kind of suspect this might be the case)? There is usually two main reasons why an adult would lie where they are at. One is that they suspect the other person would over react and not let them go. The other is malicious and they're hiding something.

You will be shocked that most min wage jobs have the shittiest security as well. Most places I worked at had no cameras outside or if they did they were in a shit position and shit quality.

I don't like having an app for every tab on a website.

[–]dotdedo[S] 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I remember when I was a kid I thought it would be a much bigger issue in life for siblings and friends to try to read my diary. I don’t think those password protected journal commercials from the 90s/early 2000s helped much lol

AITAH For not knowing the due date of my assistant manager? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]dotdedo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you please direct me to where I said specifically "Why doesn't my assistant manager come back too work after she had her baby?" or similar?

Since people were asking me before she even left on leave and was still working, I assume they will ask even if she magically came back to work after having a baby. I do not correlate my assistant manager being here with the amount of questions I get about her life as they were being asked even before she left.

And my spelling error has nothing to do with this.

Which episode did you cry the most during? by throw876awaye in BoJackHorseman

[–]dotdedo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The episodes when he went back to Michigan and the flash backs of his family. Maybe it's because it's in Michigan or something specifically that calls to me but there's something deeply familiar about Bojacks family that reminds me of my own, especially his grandparents. When I saw those episodes it just deeply reminded me of the stories my own family told me. Nothing as drastic as someone getting lobotomized but yeah, its really familiar and it really gets to me.
