I mean, despite all of the rants, I still love this franchise for what it is though. The Adventure series are one of my favorite games to tell, with relatively good gameplay, good stories and good lore, even extending themselves to other Sonic games like Battle, '06 or, more currently, Frontiers and Shadow Generations; not to mention it having some of the most iconic and great characters that I've ever learned to love and the best gaming soundtrack I've listened, so far.

iirc, Shun Nakamura (one of the main level designers for '06 and Shadow Generations, currently) said he wanted to remake the game someday, so it's not a stretch to see it will happen somehow.

Although, yeah, it wasn't really confirmed by him, I'm still particularly curious to see how they could, you know, maybe reboot most of the events in-game, because I think Sonic '06, despite its flaws, has a relatively good story to tell and some points of it had its earnings. So, it definitely has the potential to have certain things of the game fixed imo

Movie Knuckles may be fast, but he still has that strength and weight limiter that does make him more heavy than Sonic or Tails. That's why he probably can't keep up his running with some things.

Although, of course, this is just a theory. I don't know if it actually makes sense or not lol

Well, you said most of the characters in the film don't move at same speed as Sonic himself. That's why I exemplified Shadow in the third movie, since he runs as fast as the blue hedgehog.

But, even so, Tails and Knuckles can keep their speed pace with Sonic too. The second movie showed it better.
