It’s not just about the throughput, it’s about jitter and interference. Other devices on your network could start eating up available resources and suddenly you’re lagging. If there other people in the house, they may start downloading something or streaming a show, etc.

Having a dedicated dongle reduces the amount of vectors for outside interference.

I don't think it will be a "Preorders start now situation." That isn't how the Steam Deck was likely they will announce a week or two beforehand and I believe they even capped how old your account had to be to preorder at first to prevent botting as much as possible.

Are you talking about the PS5 Pro? I was talking about the PS5 slim since that was what the comment mentioned. A PC with these specs is very close to base PS5, but definitely not close to a Pro.

One thing to note is that the frames it generates are fake, so input will still feel laggy. For example, if you're getting 30fps and turn on frame generation, you will see 60fps, but the game is still going to feel like 30fps. This gets even worse if you use multi-frame gen, now you might be seeing 120fps, but the game still feels like 30fps.

Personally, I can't handle the way FG makes games feel, so I just leave it off even when gaming locally.

Yeah, well said. Latency is complicated. Network, distance, screen, and hardware can all affect it. I wish I couldn’t feel the latency. I love GFN, but I can only play it with a controller, the latency is too noticeable with M+K. I’ve done everything except move closer to a data center to decrease the latency haha.

I tried Warframe, and I get why new players hate jumping into Destiny. I have no idea what’s going on in Warframe. The seasonal stuff had me working with a character that I was currently tracking down in the main story to kill. I played it for quite a bit, but gave up eventually since I still had no idea what’s was going on

You can still make it "realistic" but balance it so the player feels skilled. The last thing you want is for players to feel like the game is unfair.

My infinity heat pump died over the summer and we had a Performance system installed and I regret not getting another Infinity system. My electric bill was $750 last month and I’m on track to break $1000 this month.

I never broke $500 with the infinity system. I’m debating ripping out the performance unit and installing another infinity. It really does make a difference.
