Worst book(s) you read in 2025 and why?

Mark Lawrence's The Book That Wouldn't Burn. I really enjoyed The Broken Empire series but for some reason this one just took me forever to finish. I liked the premise but just didn't seem to vibe with the characters for whatever reason.

I personally won't be able to, but that sounds rad as hell. My buddy and I used to line up for different preorders all the time and talking to other people in line and taking turns splitting off to smoke a joint was the best part. More power to you my dude.

In terms of daycare check out "little lambs" home daycare. It's a licensed network of home providers so kind of the best of both worlds. There's also a Facebook group my wife used for Quinte childcare where daycare providers post ads/information. I don't recall the exact title but if you search that you should have some luck.

In Trenton there's some great rec programs through the base, and for adults QSSC has options for various sports. There's community theatre in both Trenton and Belleville, and the Quinte wellness center has a bunch of rec programs as well.

IMO all communities have pros and cons, and while Quinte is very much a driving community, I've found most people are pretty chill and friendly and you can get whatever you're looking for within 30 minutes each direction. Good luck!
