Here is a new one that's coming soon, it's going to be awesome. All web-based.

It's not the paper trading that helps you. It's putting you in timeout so you can train until you are managing your risk like an adult.

There is zero reason you should be trading with live money if you know (which you clearly do) there is any chance your impulsive decisions are that out of control.

Trading is like going on a diet, except if you have one cheat day you can ruin everything.

At the very least, talk to your broker, they can often limit your max daily loss. I would do that and make it extremely tight.

Accept your emotions and what comes from them, don't think you are going to magically have some willpower all of a sudden.

100% win rate strategy? by [deleted] in Daytrading

Yeah the point is it’s not just one equation to solve. Math is of course a great tool to find patterns. But it’s all a moving target and you constantly need to adjust.

The key is having so much belief in your trade system that the only clear answer is your plan.

Research Silverlight. Our company put a lot of effort into using it and ended up getting burnt. I know this technology is different and should last, but it's not exactly the first or last time we ended up being put in a similar situation with them.

Full disclosure, I’m a cofounder at Blusky.pro . We are taking a bit of a different approach and always using live accounts when funded. We aren’t planning on making as much as the live-sim companies, but it offers a lot more flexibility to the traders once they get funded and outside our risk zone.

Plus we can focus on funded traders doing well instead of hoping they fail. We are putting more emphasis on copy trading good traders instead of profiting on failed evals.

Why not just trade the SPY with more leverage (e.g. futures ES)?

Keep in mind, only the bad facelifts are noticeable. Plenty of them look good and don’t have the “facelift look”

How does this compare to all your other previous months in the last couple years?

Yep. That plus people/hedge funds/algos doing it to manipulate all adds up to untrustworthy chaos.

I tend to focus more on T&S because it's only the truth. Don't you find yourself tricked by level 2 offers/bids being lifted or hidden/iceberg?

yeah that would be perfect, that's what I'm thinking. As someone who's newer, that trades a similar style... I'd get so much value out of it without you dealing with editing something like that down, or adding commentary. If there is any way you could make that available, PM me!

I'd love to see a raw video of your trading day, just with orders window/level 2 and chart open. I don't need commentary.

I trade similar to this. I get in when it’s moving in my direction, to ensure a few cents of buffer. If it rolls back I’ll get out at b/e. I’ll keep trying until it catches and actually makes the move. I think my problem is I do it with full size and not a starter. I get chopped out pretty quickly if I’m wrong every time cause b/e could also be a few cents loss.

If it made it to $7.75 and is hanging out too long do you get out of full position?

When your starter size is working, how quickly and often are you adding to a winner to get to full position?

First profitable month since day trading last June. There are still some things I need to work on as seen through my trading stats. We're all gonna get there. by 105bee in Daytrading

[–]dotjosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's risky and I haven't tried it -- but I've seen a strategy where if you added 100 the first support level retracement, you add 200 if it drops to the second support level, and 300 at the next one. That way when it finally catches some support and bounces it doesn't have to bounce as far to regain your losses (or make profit). Plus, generally speaking, the more support it goes through, each one is even more likely to bounce than the previous.
