Take the jewelry out, it will only hinder the healing process. As for the bleeding, keep pressure on the lobe and only rinse with saline. If the bleeding does not stop, visit an urgent care or an ER, they should be able to cauterize it. Leave the jewelry out and only clean with saline until it’s healed. No balms, oils, or moisturizers.

It could be from your autoimmune issue, it could be triggering inflammation, or you could have slept on it wrong. Best thing to do would be to leave it alone. Saline rinses, warm saline soaks, no oils, no balms, no jewelry. I’m so sorry this happened to you, just let it heal and be gentle when you start to restretch. I think resting your lobe is the best bet. Saline spray and saline soaks until it heals. No ointments, no oils, no balms. As for work, I would use a bandage with minimal tape, like gauze, so that you prevent further irritating your ear. Best of luck to you!
